'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

Do all these Bama tards go to the same special academy to learn this shizzle? It's the same with them all, if the recruit chooses another school, the offer wasn't committable.

Meh. Commitable, non-commitable ... Who cares. We got him. They didn't.

The kid is good. I think he'll blow up this year in high school. I expect him to be a high 4 star before it's all done.

I agree with everything ya said, except for that last sentence. Tht will never happen cause he's already committed to UT! JMO

Yes they do. I know we all give other SEC schools different reputations, some true and some not, but Bama fans take stupidity to another level. I had a brief convo with a Bammer the other day. I had to break the news to him AJ graduated 😂

Glad we got him committed. Bama and others will turn up the heat as he's blowing up this fall and his ratings keep going up.

"Just getting to be around the guys that are already committed is a lot of fun," Dormady said. "They are good guys and I'm looking forward to playing with them. It was a different feel as a commitment and I'm glad to have it all behind me and be a part of the Tennessee family."

He got to spend time with fellow commitment Preston Williams and work on guys like Van Jefferson. Any quarterback wants good wide receivers and he believes playmakers live here. "It gets me excited," Dormady said. "That's what you want is guys that can be playmakers when you get them the ball or even go up and save you some times."

"I'm not huge into getting all the attention, but it comes with the position," Dormady said. "I'm getting more used to it and I expect it here because Tennessee does everything big."

"I can't wait," Dormady said. "I was talking with some guys today and I haven't been on the field in over a year. I'm just looking forward to getting the pads back on and playing real football again. Just that feeling I'm suiting back up again soon has me excited."

Dormady is a kid you REALLY root for to succeed. He says and does all the right things. His maturity and leadership are just on another level imo. He's gonna do big things in Knoxville. We are getting some real steals in this class. Butch and Co. are making this turnaround fast and oh so exciting to watch. I can't wait to see Tennessee's play on the field start to put fear in the rest of the SEC and country like the staff is doing on the recruiting trail. Fun times are ahead. GBFO!!!!

Doug understands recruiting, the use of commons sense in recruiting, recruiting a QB, and overall numbers in the process. Butch is not about to do anything stupid to chase off his prized passing QB.

Gotta love these early enrolees. That's the benefit of applying yourself to the academics aspect in high school and not just sports.

seems like the kid and his family has already moved into knoxville, it is at least the second long stay he has made. The first when he committed then this visit, and I seem to recall him coming by another time. He is spending too much time here for me to be worried about him looking elsewhere

It is exactly why Butch Jones is likely thinking and feeling the same way about Dormady and Jennings.

It is called investing one's self into your future.

I give Butch a lot of credit of taking advantage of the EEs rule. You're getting kids who got their work done with almost a year of practice before they step on the field.

and I like it. Its another reason I have no problem taking him and possibly hurting our chances with Gibson.

He's dangerously close to reaching the 5 DAY STAY!!! Which...you know?...is kinda important.
