'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

Agreed.

The days of regular 300+ yard passing games needs to hurry back

Yes definitely. I think CBJ has us set up nicely for the future. Assuming Dobbs redshirts, a possible line of secession of Peterman/Dobbs -> Dormady/Jennings -> Austin Kendall -> Hunter Johnson?... seems pretty legit to me.

But that's a long way off... let's just murder the Mutts this Saturday.

I was starting with Francis, but we are in the same ballpark. And even with the names I mentioned it still leaves out older guys like Condredge.

As far as pure passers go, no one was better than Tony Robinson...wasted opportunities.

SIAP, I live just outside of Boerne, was extremely excited when Dormady commited. Have seen him play a couple times as my co-workers son is on the team (Sadly missed the game Coach Jones and Jake were at). Wanted to see if someone with more knowledge than I have was in the know...

Rumor around here is Coach Dormady (Boerne head Coach and Quinten's dad) will be taking a job with the Football program at UT after this season to follow his son. Anyone else hear this? And if so what position would he be filling? I hate to think we are pulling a Malzahan and bringing a coach along because he promised an athlete even if it is that coaches son. Just wanted to get the masses talking... Thanks!

Isn't that how Hugh Frieze {sp?} at ole piss got his start? By shirttailing along with that kid from "The Blind Side" (sorry had a brain fart and couldn't remember the guys name, but to lazy to go google it and anyhow you know who I am talking about).

yeah. pretty sure he got a job in the athletic department like 30 days after Oher signed his letter of intent.

Peyton is the best pure QB UT has ever had. It may be a cliche but it's true. His ability to read defenses even at the collegiate level was insane. Robinson was very good though.

Not to nitpick, but "reading defenses" isn't part of being a "pure passer". Pure passer encompasses everything from the neck down, not neck up.

true, but how many times did peyton run the ball? He was/is a pure passer.

That is not what he is talking about either, he is simply talking about Tony's ability to THROW the ball. A lot of Peyton's passes look like shot ducks. T'Rob could flick his wrist, and throw a tight spiral 60 yards on a rope.

And by also being a good offensive mind...

Not talking about overall QB skills and talent...Peyton hands down...my contention was grip it and rip it? Tony...maybe second in that category (and I'm not a fan) Tyler Bray.

God, Tyler threw such a pretty ball. Wish his head had been screwed on straight while he was here.
