Baylor lock or does Tennessee actually have a real chance? I know this is his first year as a starter but you knew he was a big-time talent considering the staff offered him on the spot at camp this past summer. An elite QB, along with a big-time Oline haul is critical for the '15 class IMO.

This guy is my top QB want for next year and I don't see any reason to think we can't get him with Butch and Thig doin their thing

His team is still in the playoffs. They advanced to the fifth-round of the Texas 3A division 1 playoffs, which is the semifinal round.

In Texas there are 2 state champions for each division: 6-man football, 1A-5A. In each district, the top 4 teams make playoffs and the 2 with highest enrollment go to division 1 and the 2 with the lower enrollments go to division 2. Just FYI.

Stidham plays for a very good team. Jevan Snead, former Texas and Ole miss qb, went there and the qb Stidham played behind last year is Tyler Jones who won the state championship for them and is now starting at Texas State, bowl eligible in their second year as an FBS program, as a true freshman.

Here is an excerpt from an article on cbssports.com about Art Briles as a potential candidate for the Redskins job if and when it opens up. This would have to help our chances with Stidham.

"The Washington Redskins are expected to pursue Baylor's Art Briles should they fire Mike Shanahan, according to league sources.

Not only are the strugging Redskins (3-10) losing, there also is a fractured relationship between coach Mike Shanahan and ownership. With Shanahan's partnership with quarterback Robert Griffin III also in peril, the club is likely to part with Shanahan, perhaps as soon as Monday. Once that happens, several league sources believe Baylor's Art Briles will be one of their targets.

Briles coached Griffin in college and maintains a strong connection with the QB and his family. While Briles recently agreed to an extension to remain at the school, it doesn't render a move to the NFL impossible. Briles proved uniquely able to handle Griffin's ego, unique playing style and health concerns while at Baylor, and also managed Griffin's parents and inner-circle, who have gone public at times -- voicing issues with Shanahan."

"One of the Vols’ coaches was in Stephenville, Texas, on Tuesday to check on Top247 junior quarterback Jarrett Stidham, who picked up an offer from Tennessee in July during an unofficial visit to Knoxville and appears to be one of UT’s early top targets at the position. Stidham also added an offer from Oregon on Tuesday."

Anything new with Stidham?

Tennessee has been by the high school and they are recruiting him. They are hoping his family ties back to the region (in Kentucky) will help there. I think he has some interest in Tennessee and wants to explore them further. So we will see.

BigBallin28 is a 4* DT from California that also holds an offer from Tennessee.

Not sure if this means anything but "Yessir" is a catch phrase of Sumlin. McKenie holds no offers from A&M or Baylor.

There's more to the country than Texas. "Yessir" is a very common phrase.
