Outside of himself at least at the collegiate level (NFL flop)...What QBs has he developed?

For starters he helped Johnny Manziel win a Heisman Trophy. At Texas Tech last year he played two freshman QBs who both by the end of the year had a 60+% completion rate and over 2,000 yards a piece.

Johnny Manziel was a stellar QB way before Kingsbury. Kingsbury got a lift being associated with Johnny. My mother could have been his QB coach and the result would have been the same. Johnny is just a natural; as we all know the easiest job in coaching is being Peyton's OC (as if he even needs one). Pretty much the same thing. Check out his HS stats. Unbelievable!

Brah, you're backtracking to save face. But I'll bury your last argument further...

Kingsbury was highly instrumental in turning Case Keenum from an unwanted D2 level recruit into an NFL starter. So, there's that...

Kingsbury was a good college QB who wasn't built for the NFL. No surprises there, but he also seems to be a young, energetic coach who is truly committed to improving his alma mater. Not a TX Tech fan, but I can think of a lot of other programs and coaches I'd rather see fail than Kingsbury and Tech.

Manziel wasn't a finished product right out of high school of course...until he worked with George Whitfield (the California QB guru that just recently tutored Dobbs)he had major fundamental and accuracy issues. How much Kingsbury helped tailor that in Sumlin's offense could be debated...but Johnny Football was perilously close to being Johnny Backup.

I don't backtrack to save face and you arent burying anything "Brah". It's a fact that Johnny was an incredible QB before Kingsbury ever coached him. In case you havent noticed, half of what Johnny does is unscripted, pure athleticism. You cant coach instinct.

I was addressing your comment that Kingsbury has not developed any major quarterbacks.

At this point in his career, he has only had two starting quarterbacks who he has had multiple years to coach and polish.

I already indicated that one of them, Case Keenum, had no other offers from D1 schools, other than Houston, and under Kingsbury was developed into one of college's most elite QB's in recent memory... posting three seasons in which he threw for over 5,000 yds and 40 tds under Kliff's tutelage. That kid who no school wanted is now a bona fide starting NFL QB.

I will not even grace the argument that Kingsbury deserves no credit for his work with Manziel.

To punctuate this discussion, Here's your argument that Kingsbury has not developed strong QB's during his coaching career:

That's cute.
Ill give him credit for Keenum...but Manziel and his 74 combined pass/rush TD's his senior season in HS proves Johnny is Johnny with or without Kingsbury. Obviously I'm sure Kingsbury helped him out some but to act like he made Johnny into the QB that he is now is ridonkulous.

I'm fairly certain (though could be mistaken) that Manziel didn't work with Whitfield until right before this season. He had a better year the year before.

You're mistaken...I read the article BEFORE he won the Heisman,how the Guru fixed his mechanics. You'll probably google it faster than I could to try to post a link...bet if we dare them...Ron,Wu or POA link 50 :)
