'15 TX CB Darrell Miller (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Miller is a good pickup. Bama impact guys are usually from Florida, Louisiana, or Alabama(especially on offense). Saban hasn't had one Texas kid be the star of either unit.

I would say A'Shawn Robinson is almost if not a star on the DL.

But percentages say it's tougher anyway because he doesn't have to recruit many of them.

Your stats on how many NFL players come out of Texas doesn't come close to proving that this state doesn't produce a lot of talent...unless your contention is that every talented player plays in the NFL? :dunno: I'm not related to any Texas players, nor are any of my friends so I don't understand how I'd get offended at some selected slanted numerical figures. :dunno:

I'm not quite sure I know what you're talking about here.

I disagree with you calling Greg McElroy a star. I think most sane people would agree.

Most "sane" people wouldn't erupt into maniacal laughter at the mere use of a word either. :)

OK, let's right the ship here. We all hope Mr. Miller can help us on D and be an impact player at some point down the road.

What does that have to do with the indisputable fact that Georgia and Florida have all the talent and Texas has none?

I think he's a quality gritty CB.

The convo got off track when a poster wanted to state that 3 stars out of Texas were better than 4 stars in other states. I'm done with it again. I'm glad we held on to the kid. He eats routes up very well. Will have to get some safety help at times but he's got a very good skill set at CB.

It was a throwaway comment when another poster said he'd take a 3 star player out of Georgia over a four star out of Texas...my use of a student manager reference in the analogy, should have indicated humor but I guess you don't recognize that west of the Mississippi either. :)

You B's are two of my favorite posters on here. Need to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. lol.

I've never had a problem with him...still don't...I'm not built to concede an opinion tho...no matter the knowledge of the person I'm disagreeing with. :hi:

Thanks for trying to mediate 4us...kept your fingers I hope? :)

Anyone seen Catbone lately? I'm worried about him/her/it as he/she/it came down with acute coughballitis a few days ago...🐈

Hard to believe that possibly 4 of the best players on the team could come out of Tennessee highschool football.

Barnett
Hurd
Reeves Maybin
Martin

Then you got other Tennessee boys like: TKjr (I think he in particular will also be one of our best players next year), Malone, Gaulden, Richmond, Phillips, Jack Jones, and Jennings, who are highly rated young guys that have a ton of potential. The talent in this state has gotten so much better. Hopefully we continue to keep the top guys from the state home at UT.
