I'm always a little leary of the kids that drag on the recruiting process like they are some celebrity and milk every ounce of attention they can get. It's not that I'm leary we won't get them eventually (we probably end up getting our share) it's just that most of the kids that turn out to be great players aren't attention starved little divas. They are the kids with the workman/humble attitude that bust their azz to get theirs. I'm always afraid we are dealing more with a markeith ambles or Bryce brown than a cam Sutton or jmr. We'll see what happens

The recruits who fit that ilk are easy to pick out like Terrell Pryor/Brown/etc.... I don't get the feeling Newsome is anything at all like what you described. But we will definitely find out. He's also committing before signing day so I see nothing wrong with waiting. Maybe he has had other obligations throughout he fall and winter that prevented him from visiting.

Its really between us and Texas. With Texas firing their WR coach, you have to think were in good shape here. We need a dynamic punt returner and he is electric with the ball in his hands. Think Pig Howard, but more of a playmaker.

VQ mods think TN isn't much of a factor and is all Texas. 247 thinks TN is a big-time factor and that Texas has him on "hold". Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

Paying for info is the BlockBuster of internet business. Its a dying breed and will soon be gone with info being so easy to get via twitter.

I think Tennessee has a chance, but his parents have never visited and I think those around him would like to see him stay at Texas. Also, I'm just not sure Tennessee has room. They can't take everybody.

VQ had no idea on Phillips and thought the day before that Allen was a lock to the Vols at the All-Star game. We get better info on Volnation than what they are producing.
