Pig, Wharton, Jenkins, Johnson, Perry. And Malone has played some slot. Dunno how we could possibly need another guy at this position with so many other needs.

Well, I'm afraid Catbone that CBJ made his first big recruiting era by putting all his money on Richmond. It's a long time until NSD, but the OL recruiting at this point is pure hopes and dreams for most these guys we are in on. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think we are getting any elite T prospects this year.

The ONLY way you pass on a guy like this is when you have drastic needs elsewhere like the OL. Like we do. I think Newsome is a stud and would be great here. However without getting OL depth, playmakers are not going to make much difference.

He's acting like he's a can't miss type of player. Kids not Megatron or that level of talent. A guy like Preston Williams is a different story. Slot guys are easy to find..... He's a good player don't get me wrong but he's not this just can't miss type of guy. IMO

IMO at this point the UT coaches should not be looking to take ANY other position players except on the OL. They lose Jackson, they need to use the spot for an OL guy. They lose a CB, another OL guy. Unless of course they can only take the 24 mentioned in which case they have to trim (2) anyways.

With having (4) committed it could prove to be a tough sell to get more OL commits, but I think they have to try. With most of all the current UT OL being back next year, it will be tough for anyone to come in and play right away IMO.

Agreed. I really like Newsome and honestly hope he is part of this class. However I would much rather have some good O lineman. We have to catch up the OL depth.

Just to let yall gauge how fast he is... He went to state in track for the 100m as a freshman in the state of Texas. That's fast folks.
His visit is this weekend. We're coming up for the Bama UT game.
