Hearing rumblings on 247 that there may be a mutual parting of the ways coming here. Callahan acknowledged he has heard the rumor but won't confirm any more than that. I would hate to lose Oliver, especially with Helm leaving, but perhaps other roster spots are more critical now.

Edit: to clarify, Callahan didn't identify Oliver as the commit rumored to be parting ways, that came from another poster in the discussion.

The player wasn't specified when the rumor was poster... someone guessed that it was Oliver. Someone else guessed that it was Bruce. Someone else guessed that it was Picou. Nobody in that thread knows who it is.

I'd be disappointed as well! I think Kyle is a ball player and underrated.

I don't want it to be any of those players. I don't want to name anyone, but could it possibly be a certain DB commit? There were once a lot if people talking about him looking around, and we have two more players at his position committed.

The Boulware chatter is probably coming from him taking a visit to Ohio State, although I agree with you. No way the staff wants him going elsewhere

Yeah people shouldn't confuse him taking another visit with TN dropping him. Afterall, he is scheduled to officially visit TN on the 30th.

Nobody wants to lose Boulware. But the coaches don't want a commit taking visits to other programs and putting it out there that they are considering that program while they have a spot reserved here. Who's saying UT is dropping him or encouraging him to look around? What people are saying is that Boulware no longer appears fully committed. And if he decides he would rather be elsewhere, others would like to be here.

Boulware has always said he planned to take visits even after committing. So he has always been pretty upfront about it. The staff gets mad when someone like Cherry plays rock solid while we don't take LB commits then up and plays a game of seesaw publicly claiming another school is his dream school. Butch wants kids to bleed TN orange. Cherry pissed him off with that BS

Over and Boulware make the most sense. Boulware seems interested in OSU and we need OTs much more than OGs.

At TE, losing Oliver hurts less with Eli Wolf walking on.

Nothing against Eli Wolf (and I'm glad he's walking on) but having seen both he and his brother play, I hope people aren't expecting anything close to Ethan. He is not even remotely in the same league from a talent standpoint.

Oliver is underrated on here IMHO. RS and develop.

More Rutherford Co. players on our roster the better too. Lot of talent gonna be coming out of there from now on.
