'15 TN TE Jackson Harris

When will you people learn....

Every time he posts it's a big shiny hook, and you guys swallow the whole thing... Every single time.

This is the 3rd consecutive thread I've opened where you have a "holier than thou" attitude. Do you get your rocks off acting like everyone is beneath you?

visiting UGA for G-day this weekend.. anything new on him besides that vol fans?

VQ said Tennessee probably isn't going to offer him, which to me says there's some sort of personality mismatch with the coaches since they just took a TE with almost identical measurables in the last class.

Kinda sketchy considering the part you bolded included "you guys"....

You are absolutely correct. The cursor drag did not go as planned. Did not proof-read. You win the interwebs.

But....

Why doesn't this guy have an offer? He has big time offers on his list from the who's who in CFB. Bama, Ohio St, Oregon, Ga, Fl, Ok, and the list goes on and on.

Top 10 player in state and #6 TE in the nation. We have Elder and Martinez as his recruiters. Nice size and speed, what gives?

Would rather pass than settle

really interesting. if Oregon feels he is athletic enough for their offense then i wonder what UT is seeing. Kid can go anywhere he wants at this point. So he must be a nice TE. i was just wondering. good luck to him.

Not sure why the coaching staff hasn't offered him. I personally wish they would, but I guess they have their reasons. I think he's a guy that can do it all at TE.

I agree! Talked to someone who knows the kid and he is really disappointed he doesn't have an offer from the vols. Apparently he has lots of family members who are big vol fans. I read an article that said he narrowed his list down to 10 schools. Sounds like he will probably commit somewhere soon. Apparently the kid has a 4.0 and plans to major in engineering. Heck he has 35 offers!
Oh well I'm not the coach, so I guess they don't like him for some reason. I'm not an expert but some people must think he's good to be rated a 4* prospect and be ranked 6th best TE in class of 2015 (247). They've given offers to several great TEs in his class so I'm sure they know what they are doing. Jackson has many great offers so he'll be fine. I just hate for us to pass him up. I've read that we may not even want a TE in this class and thats cool. Looks like Clark and Hentges are great options if we can get them.

This. TE isn't a desperate need for this class...better uses for the scholly this cycle imo.

Yea, I guess you're right. He just seems like a great kid with talent who wants to be a vol. I know it must be tough to be a coach and have to decide where your needs are with limited slots. Jackson has many options so he'll be in good shape. I'm just glad I'm not the coach and have to make those choices.

Oh yeah he's a great kid and will be a great player wherever he ends up imo. I wouldn't mind at all him being a Vol, but so many variables dictate who and how you can recruit each class. That's why recruiting is such an important aspect of coaching...you have to know your needs and take emotion out of it when you start handing out offers and accepting commitments.

Yea, I just hate that the kid can go anywhere he wants but can't be a vol in his own state. Oh well, like you said, you can't put the emotions into it.

Very true. It's an necessary evil when it comes to recruiting. Most kids never end up at the in-state school they are a fan of or grew up liking for one various reasons. Unfortunately you can't offer/sign them all no matter how talented/successful you think they will be.

Sounds like he's about to commit elsewhere and probably the kind of kid who sticks to his word. I don't think he would flip. I think he's also an EE.
