Yea he was very good. Went up and watched him play last year and was blown away with his mental toughness, arm strength, accuracy, and his pocket presence.

I have seen several of his games. He can spin it. The mistakes I saw him make were because of how young he is. Has a good frame that will take plenty more "good" weight.

I completely agree. He does need to work a little bit on accuracy and ball placement. but he's got all of the intangibles to be a great quarterback.

I have seen this kid play...he's good but I have to admit that most pass defenses in this area SUCK. Not saying he couldn't be a great one but I thought that's worth noting

Not a bad year so far for Mr. Akin.
Comp Att. Yds Cmp% Avg y/p TD INT Long
161 254 2403 .634 14.925 31 7 78

Also he's not a bad runner. Had 54 rushes for 404 yds and 5 TDs with a long of 36. Not too shabby His passing has gotten a bit better. He's more accurate and can still can sling the ball like i've never seen in West Tennessee. his decision making has also improved as he threw only 7 picks this year as compared to 14 last year so. He is progressing. I'd really like to see him start to pick up some offers he's quite good.

The kid has been starting since he was a freshman. He throws a good ball would love to see him in the mix at Tennessee. He plays in the small class in Tennessee.
