Are his parents coming?

I believe I read on 247 that they were. Coming in today and staying for a long weekend. Staff should be able to focus a lot of attention and answer any questions his family has about UT. Not getting my hopes up, but we definitely have a shot, me thinks!

I don't think Butch is in trouble right now. I crtainly don't want him gone. But to say it isn't his fault we lost, the team made too many mistakes..... just what exactly do you think being the head coach involves? When mistakes add up, that's on coaching. As the head coach, accountability begins and ends with him. So yeah, Saturday's loss was his fault. He doesn't deserve to lose his job for it, but he doesn't need excuses made for him either. He's a highly paid professional. He can take the criticism.

But, a coach can only do so much. The rest is up to the players. If a coach doesn't have the proper tools (in the SEC, it's all about the trenches) he has to make do with the tools he has. If those tools need to be broke in (experience), your bound to skin a few knuckles along the way. Fumbles and interceptions have cost us two games. Are you absolutely certain that it was Butch that fumbled or threw the interceptions?

Umm free trip to Knoxville...don't read too much into it.

Free trip to Knoxville lol. Because that would be such an expensive trip for him to make on his own. I can't tell if you're for real right now or just kidding. He may be taking it just to make sure he's covering all of his bases but I seriously doubt it's because he just wants to take a free trip to Knoxville...we're not taking about a free trip to California or Florida or something like that.

It's not even a free trip. It's an unofficial visit .

Which is nothing but a good thing...

Yep. Richmond has been on campus 10+ times already. This visit this weekend is huge because I assume Butch will get a lot of 1 on 1 time with the whole family to try and sway them. Then DR will take an OV a week or so before NSD and Butch can put on the full court press.

He hasn't even gotten here yet, on his visit. Who, then, made it your call?

This team is 4-1 if our OL wasn't depleted of talent/experience. Ole Miss is bout to find out how dangerous it really is playing in the SEC W. They will have 3-4 losses, if not more, before the year is done.

Conversely, once we get our OL situation squared away, this will be a team to be reckoned with.

You do know what IMO stands for right?

SIAP. Ole Miss has 18 OL, only 2 of which are seniors. If immediate playing time is important, and it is, this visit is extremely important for both parties.

What we need is ClosetoRichmond to sign in & give us the 411! I have maintained that this is far from over just based on his statements.
His recruitment isnt over
He is still taking visits
He wanted to commit to slow down the frenzy so he could concentrate on fb
He wants immediate playing time

I swear I hate to say it but I still believe the guy working @ the hotel he & his dad stayed at last time. And if his momma comes this time thats huge

I went from 189 to 142 in 3 months. It wasn't muscle loss just fat. I have never been toned to the bone.

Grilled food and 0 bread or soda.

I'm 5'8 and don't carry 180 well. It was a biggest loser contest with the wife. She went from 148 to 123 doing the same thing. Size 8 to a size 3. I have kept it off better. Just sayin.

What thread is this again?

Top player in the state comes to Knoxville for extended, unofficial visit... Tennessee fans complain.

Yep.

I never realized how negative our fans were until I got on VN. I swear we could win a national title and the response within 24 hours would be something like "well butch can't win 2"

So the highly-touted Ole Miss offensive line commit is heading east to Knoxville and the campus of the University of Tennessee.

Richmond committed to Ole Miss amid much fanfare at his high school on Sept. 9. Since then, he hasn’t missed a single Ole Miss home game. In fact, he was among the thousands that rushed the field at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium last Saturday when No. 3 Ole Miss defeated Alabama.

This weekend’s visit to Tennessee was already in the cards for Richmond. He has said throughout his recruiting process that, even after he committed, he would take visits.

“I’m taking all my visits just to make sure,” he said Wednesday night. “I’m not going to flip this weekend or anything like that.”

In fact, Richmond will have his eyes peeled on the Rebels from Knoxville as they head west to play 14th-ranked Texas A&M.

“I think how we play Texas A&M will tell us a lot about this season,” Richmond said.

Richmond said his original plan last Saturday was to sit back and watch the field get rushed. But he was tugged along by another recruit.

“I wasn’t going to, but*CeCe Jefferson*made me,” he laughed. “That’s my dog. I’ve got to get him to Ole Miss.”..... His extended visit this weekend can only help us in the end.

I feel like the village idiots have lost their way, and ended up on the recruiting page.

It's hard to make fun of other team's fan bases, when I see how many idiots we have on volnation.
Because we're pointing out the obvious...our dire need for OL? Or that with a decent OL, this is a much different team. Even with a bad OL, we barely lost to both UGA and UF.

We were within 6 points total, between the last two games, of being 4-1. And Ole Mi$$ hasn't played a quality opponent outside of Bama. And their schedule from here on out, is a virtual meat-grinder.

Yeah...idiotic fans, right? GTFOH!

Sounds very solid to Ole Miss. Will be extremely difficult to flip. Hope we are in very good shape with Allen and Burrell.
