Hopefully he'll be able to figure out UT is a far superior choice to Ole Miss by signing day. If not, he made a really stupid decision and those closest to him are giving him poor advice.

Distance is the only reason to go to Ole Miss, but it's not like UT is in the Yukon. Early playing time and opportunity to win is going to be much better with the Vols.

It is hard to understand why recruiting has suddenly blossomed at Ole Mi$$.

I don't know why we even try in Memphis anymore. Disappointed to say the least...we really needed this one and I thought he was going to be a Vol up until about a week ago :/

Maybe Richmond simply doesn't want the responsibility of being "the man"....There are places out of the spotlight. Like Oxford, MS.

Totally Sucks. As good of a recruiter as Butch is... How do we miss on this kids. Gotta make you wonder. Probably the same thing that richt though when he lost on the kids right in his back yard. I'm just going to say where there's smoke there's fire. Maybe it's just sour grapes but...

Yes, it appears to be sour grapes.

Hate that we missed out on this guy. Would've been a huge get. But now knowing he ain't coming to the hill, which O-lineman do we start courtin' now?
Go Vols!

If I was Butch I would not waste my time recruiting the Memphis area. Them kids grow up Ole miss fans and its to much time trying to get them from ole miss. I would put all my efforts towards the middle Tn state and Atlanta area. Richmond going to Ole miss was not a surprise at all!

I disagree. If their is an elite talent in Tennessee, you recruit him. As far as Memphis kids growing up fans of Ole Miss, I'm not sure that's the case. There is a strong Ole Miss influence in Memphis, but kids this age change their favorite team constantly. When we start to win, you will see.
