'15 TN OL Jack Jones (UT Commit 5/9/2013)

The only thing he needs now is a big lumberjack beard

I've been saying this since we were recruiting him. I don't know why he refuses to listen!

I don't care how good he turns out to be. If he doesn't grow the beard I will consider him a bust!

:)

Lol IIRC there was an interview where he said he couldn't grow a beard. Maybe he'll get there by the time he graduates.

EDIT: 2:30

Can't! I don't want to hear can't from one of our players!

TRY HARDER! We're expecting a championship while you're here.

Can't.......smdh.

Doesn't he knows that can't never could?!?

Where does it end with can't and couldn't?

I can hear it now. "Sorry coach, I couldn't pancake him. I don't know why. I just can't". :cray:

as he walks away............................................

"Oh........Here's his kidney. Sorry I couldn't pancake him coach".

Thomas was as bad as I've seen an olineman at ut but he was a freshman with not much experience around him and the offensive coordinator didn't really help us much. I don't expect Thomas to suddenly be an all american but I expect major improvement this year. If we stay healthy this can be a decent group IMO. Jashon should be back soon.

So far we're not doing too good.

Yeah that's the mystery with this team. IF we stay healthy and play to potential we can match up and beat anyone we play even Bama. The problem is a couple of positions just aren't that deep if we lose a kid to injury. Oline is a great mystery but the skill positions look stacked, defense other than MLB looks just nasty, special teams look really good. This team has all the elements to make a run IF that Oline is even mediocre, and if we stay healthy at some key positions.

Per Hubbs

Jack Jones has battled very admirably to position himself to be a starter on the Vols’ offensive line, and we’ve consistently heard both Butch Jones and Mike DeBord praise the freshman offensive lineman. Jack Jones getting healthy is a top priority.

It might have been downplayed under new guidelines designed to limit or thwart talk of injuries, but Jack Jones' return to the practice field this week was a welcome sight for the Vols' coaches. As we were told, there's little doubt a healthy Jones would have almost certainly been among those Tennessee newcomers to lose his helmet stripe.
