'15 TN DT/OL Zach Stewart (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Yea, don't worry about it, he's got bigger things on his plate right now and like the poster said above he's so close its not too important.

He is from Coalfield which is about 30 mins from campus. He can probably do summer school and workouts while being at home for his family in the evening and weekends.

Family first. I have no doubt the coaches will help him with whatever he needs.

Not an update really, but he has been listed on the official roster since early summer, so I'm guessing he is enrolled in classes and working with the team. I know there was doubt last month about whether or not he had enrolled. I guess there still isn't any confirmation aside from him being on the roster.

Per Butch's presser, he has delayed his enrollment, so I am guessing he will not be with the team this year.

I don't think it has anything to do with academics though. His father passed away and he's dealing with family issues, from what I've read.

Ya it was actually his mom. Couldn't imagine that happening right before getting to go to my dream school.

So does this mean he is a greyshirt that takes a spot in 2016 class?

I hate it for the kid. I couldn't imagine that pain. It's probably a daily struggle to want to even get out of bed

Just a terrible thing to happen at any point but with the pressure of being a college freshman and football as well, just so overwhelming. I hope things work out for him and his family.

I'm pretty sure Stewart was one of the blue shirts anyway, so I doubt it makes too much of a difference scholarship wise.

Prayers for him and his family. Football isn't that important when it comes down to everything.

Hope he can get back on his feet real soon and make his mother proud.

Per Hubbs

So what's this kid's situation going to be academically? Is he going to come in as a HS initial qualifier with some college credits under his belt? I'm assuming it's a safe bet he's a '16 "recruit" now.

That's what the word is. I heard around town that he will enroll in January. Saw him the other day he is helping coach his little brother for Coalfield middle school, looks like he has stayed in solid shape.

That's just great. The loss of a mother had to have been tough on these boys, and I see the merit of what Zach is now doing. Wish the best of luck for this young man.

Sure would like to have him here right now with all our linemen getting injured

His head wouldn't have been in it otherwise I assume he would have enrolled and let football take his mind off of things. First year of college is tough. First year of college as an athlete is tougher. First year as a college athlete that just lost their mother is brutal. Bothers me to just write that and I don't even know the kid

MAN I wish he was already on campus. Our team could really use him right now considering the attrition we've suffered on the O-Line.
