I ran into Chief a few years ago when LSU was playing Bama for the national championship at the Waffle House on Emory road in Powell. It was a day or two before Christmas. I spoke to him. He was very nice. Both of us living in the Powell area I would bump into him from time to time when he was here.

The only person who said they were a package deal was Amadi. Kyle Phillips never said that. Nasty case of wishful thinking on Ugo's part.

When I worked at McDonalds in Powell many many years ago, he came thru the drive thru and didn't know who he was at the time. It was in a Saturday morning and I remember saying to him, "I hope the Vols win today." He said, "I sure hope so." As I said it never dawned on me who he was until later that night during the game. I was like, OMG, that was John Chavis.

I just ran into John Chavis at IHOP and thanked him for an assist on the Justin Martin commit. I asked about Phillips and he said he believes he's comng to UT.
