'15 TN DE Kyle Phillips (UT commit 1/3/15)

Not sure what to make of this but either a current or former Hillsboro HS football coach said this a little while ago. I know he coached there in 2012 based on an old roster I found online. He said this in response to someone giving him grief about FSU losing. Perhaps someone here who is familiar with Hillsboro HS football can chime in on whether or not Coach Vaughn is close to Kyle.

If that is an acctual coach then he needs to be fired 1) You shouldn't say anything about his recruitment so you don't ruin the kids decsion let alone tell some one to "get off his nuts". Doubt it's a coach but if it is then damn he needs a wake up call.

The other name this week everyone has wanted to know the latest on has been Nashville defensive lineman Kyle Phillips. Phillips has narrowed his decision down to LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee and as of late Thursday night the feeling was that ultimately no final decision had been made and if it had, he was playing everything close to the vest.

Ole Miss is certainly a contender and may be more of one than some are assuming; the Rebels were without question Phillips' leader earlier this week. Phillips has long liked the Rebels and despite a lot of attention being on LSU the last few days, Ole Miss has always been a strong factor.

We still believe Tennessee is in it, but they are seemingly fighting an uphill battle. The Vols have obviously been in the running for a long time with Phillips, but while Tennessee has always been in contention it seems like Tennessee will have to surge here the last 36 hours to pull this one off.

LSU is also interesting in the departure of John Chavis has put their positioning in question. While they may still be a factor, there's no doubt the Tigers have slipped due to the departure. Brick Haley, for now, has reportedly indicated he will remain at LSU as the defensive line coach, and Haley's relationship with Phillips was giving the Tigers some late life.

I like the DE's we have committed now, and don't think it'd be a huge loss without him. I'll just be glad when this one is over. Would be awesome if he comes here. Good riddance if he doesn't. Pretty exhausting thread. Never seen a recruitment like this where a kid has a new leader seemingly every day.

This is truly a case where nobody knows VQ Included. Strange that he has a new leader everyday. I wonder where ppl even get that?

His moms a Vandy grad, and he's been leaning LSU for awhile, but not anymore because Ole Miss was out front this last week, and Florida is his "dream school", but Tennessee was trending last night, but now has an uphill battle to climb the last 36 hours..

It all makes sense now!

You are on to something here...(someone let the cat out the bag).. I was wondering why my aunt ordered a tiger and wanted delivered to Texas....lol Its all making sense now... ! Great post... I actually laughed at this! I think I will share this with Kyle....lol
