Hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas! The guys on TOS who claimed they heard Phillips and Amadi are coming here they heard at Overton School or something like that- was there any truth to that - was that a respected poster? I told my husband all I want for Christmas is for UT to close strong with this class- isn't he a lucky guy lol! Love to you guys thanks for letting me be a part of this recruiting journey with you!

The focus for the next week will certainly be on Nashville defensive end Kyle Phillips as Tennessee and LSU will battle it out until his announcement next Saturday at the Army All-American Game.

As Phillips told Volquest.com earlier this week, LSU holds a slight lead over both Tennessee and Ole Miss. Tennessee will do all it can to make a comeback over the next eight days, but LSU has seemed to weather the Vols' comeback since his official visit a few weeks ago.

Doesn't sound good when Hubbs says LSU has weathered the storm of the OV. If true, I don't see how we can change anything, since the dead period will remain in effect the entire time leading up to his announcement. Sure is sounding like the in-state school will get spurned on national TV. I will be interested to see if any new offers go out over the next week from either TN or LSU.

I spoke with one of the coaches Tuesday night and he said the staff felt really good about our chances with Phillips. I know this is different than what the VQ guys are saying so TIFWIW. I also realize that kids tell the coaches what they want to hear sometimes but he seemed confident.

From what I remember, both BigOrangeTailgate and FranklinVol are involved in football in the mid state area. They both gave us updates last year during Derek Barnett's recruitment when all of the hand wringers thought he may flip to Missouri. So from what I've seen they bring very credible information.
