CBJ hit a grand slam. They met at a nice restaurant and a full plan as laid out. Mom will definitely join Kyle in Knoxville on*Saturday. Coach Chavis is the reason LSU is in so deep. This is a Butch Jones/John Chavis Battle. Distance is in UT favor but this is a very close

The picture isn't much clearer with Phillips as we've been told the in-home visit went well but again, no decision has been made. We have learned that while his mother won't be able to join him at the beginning of the official visit, the hope is she is with him Saturday night and Sunday in Knoxville.

Tennessee's weekend with Phillips should be crucial in the decision making process.

All of this to say it seems both Amadi and Phillips are still listening to the schools involved and have yet to come to a final decision. Tennessee has done well to get back in it with Amadi, but the question remains has it all come too late? Some close to the Ole Miss program remain very confident

When has Tennessee ever recruited Memphis well though? I don't think Amadi would even be in question had we not slow played him early on. And if he does go elsewhere, we still end up with Abernathy and Justin Martin.

I really want Phillips here. Can't have enough D-linemen. And with Hendrix up in the air, he is a big need right now.

Guys I have seen a lot of football in my life. Been on the sidelines and saw Clowney was around the program in the 90s when Ellis, Little, etc were here. In saying all this I have only seen 2 guy come off the ball as fast as KP. When we do work outs I literally have to tell him Kyle please just go half speed so that the OL guys can benefit from the drill too. Its amazing I tell you, and my emphasis to him has been KP they're signing a world class DL class. You'll play with Big Mc, Tuttle, Picqou for 3 or 4 yrs and there's no way you don't benefit from that. Then I said son you'll have Barnett to work with and learn from and play opposite sides from. Absolutely no way that doesn't equate to 1st round in the end. You're not guaranteed that anywhere else in the country. In the end the hoopla of LSU i think will fade and distance becomes a key and he'll be a VOL so his mom can come watch from time to time.
