Nashville defensive end Kyle Phillips has been in LSU two out of the past three weekends and will either visit Alabama or Tennessee unofficially on Saturday he told us Thursday night.

While other schools like Ole Miss and LSU have each made runs, Tennessee has continue to be a constant and will likely get the last shot at Phillips. With him likely to early enroll now we will probably know something before the dead period. But, Tennessee is very much alive in this one. Credit Jones for his efforts as he has become the lead recruiter for Phillips.

Just wanted to update the board on Kyle Phillips after in the War Room we said he would visit either Tennessee or Alabama and he will visit Alabama this weekend. His visit is an unofficial visit.

Look for JoeJuan Williams to visit down there as well this weekend.

In response to someone asking if the Phillips ship had sailed.

I wouldn't call it that at all. He's already been to two Tennessee games and hasn't visited Alabama. He may up in Knoxville next weekend and will sure take an official visit to Knoxville.

Hard for the kid to pass up a #1 vs #5 matchup. Plus, our game next week has more flavor to it. Top team in the sec east. Last ranked team we will play in the regular season, beat us barely last time in Ktown and whipped us last year. 0-2 against them since joining the big boy league.
