Not to be that guy, but you can still walk with a broken fibula. Your tibia would be a different story. The tibia is 85-90% of where your weight goes through.
i did and it looked like ragnar lothbrook did a blood eagle on it on my xray.. it was dull pain like a bad sprain... with occasional debilitating pain that can only be compared to being struck by lightning

Saw Rico on the field today for the pregame walking around with Mike Sawyers. Seemed to be enjoying it. He was wearing orange too! Ensworth orange, but orange nonetheless. Go Vols.
You're correct, it is the lateral side of the ankle. I'm not sure what Rico did. Still sucks to break either bone though. The only serious thing I've done, was a non contact kneecap dislocation and MCL sprain playing soccer.
