'15 TN DB Rico McGraw

While a lot of the talent comes from within the city, do any of you think it makes any difference when the municipal districts start next year? I'm not a Memphis native just here for four years.

The municipal districts in Germantown, Arlington, etc. will have no impact on the city kids in public school.

Those truly lucky souls will continue to grow and learn in the veritable centers of excellence that are Melrose, Ridgeway, East and the like, before finally matriculating 201 Poplar.

Dang don't hold back on the kid Woody. And not that my opinion can compare whatsoever to Woody's but I still think he's going to be a good DB in college.

This is a picture of Woody:

Your opinion is probably pretty damn comparable to his.

Somebody forward Woody's evaluation to those coaches. They must not have heard that Rico is not good enough for those top tier schools.

Tennessee certainly wants him to be a part of their 2015 class, as does Alabama, Ohio State and others.

Rico projects as a safety in college and he's playing corner in high school and I think that's probably hurt his stock a little bit. I think if he were to play safety people would really see why all those schools have offered him.

Personally, I think Rico is a very good player. I've seen him several times now and think safety is his best position and he will be a good one. I've seen him make some very athletic plays at corner, too, just think he's a better fit at safety with his size and skills.

Also, haven't heard any of the stuff implied in this thread about him being a bad kid. Everyone I've talked to likes him.

In Woody's defense he never said he was a bad kid as Paul was referring. He said off-field issues which could be a variety of things like his association with De'Vinner. The word is out on that guy and the trouble he brings with him. McGraw's past association with him could very well have been what he was referring to.

College coaches dont want to deal with the drama and trouble that guy brings. Look at all those Memphis kids he took under his wing who got various schools and asisstant coaches in trouble for paying them, doctoring their transcripts and all that crap. Hopefully Rico gets some guidance to stay the hell away from that guy from here on out because he's not doing the kid any favors.

I should have clarified that part of Fort's post. He wasn't referring to Woody, he was referring to a VQ poster saying McGraw was a bad kid. Many other posters agree with Fort, saying they have heard nothing but good things about McGraw. Sounds like he's a good kid. Glad he's not with Devinner anymore.

That makes sense then. I didn't realize someone was on there saying he was a bad kid. And no doubt, he's much better off no longer associating with that guy.

lol strike one therickbol you're better than that!

No doub, I think parents are starting to see that this guy poison around their kids.

Lol. I still remember the e-fight he had on here with OCI and others the night JRM announced for UT. He was so pissed. Then came back later and deleted all his posts and replaced them with that stupid anchor down crap. What a tool.

I hope Butch can work his magic and pull Rico McGraw, but if you look at the statistics our track record at Ensworth High School is not strong. Vandy has some serious pull there.

I definitely see us locking a few more middle TN kids in when Franklin leaves! Vandy is like an annoying gnat! They want to be relevant, and think they are because they steal a few instate guys here and there!:eek:lol:

In all fairness, Ensworth hasn't been a program for very long and it's coincided with one of the worst stretches of our program's history. BA is the one I've seen as always giving us fits in recruiting.
