'15 TN ATH Vincent Perry (UT commit 10/8/14)

Being 18 yrs old and full of testosterone and wanting to play now...putting that on a back burner for tomorrow is amazing discipline and thought. I couldn't have done it at that age. Absolutely selfless and...just wow. These guys will be something special.

I have a mustache. Think about that. ...

This kid has a very mature mind that was probably educated by our staff and his parents. He is still recoverying from an ACL tear and surgery that is only 12 months old. He understands the depth at Tennessee and knows he needs to be 100% before he brings it. Additionally, He is focused on baseball at the moment. Matter of fact, he will see baseball with the Vols before he sees the field with the Football team It makes total since to wait until the fall session to recieve his scholorship. Great decision.

Per VQ Vincent is fully admitted into UT and officially a part of the Vols class

I know he will be part of the team, but I think he counts against 2016 class, as well as Bruce. I heard Bob Weldon Sunday, and he said we would sign 23 this class, plus blue shirts. I'm no genius, but it will eventually catch up. Maybe in 3 years when we're filling the 32 we signed last year would be a good time

He's currently ranked as a early 3rd round pick listed as a "Highly Talented Up The Middle Defensive Professional Player Prospect ".

If he gets taken that high I'd probably go ahead with baseball. He can still play CFB if it doesn't work out.

Yeah 3rd rd you probably got to take that deal unless you have more love for football. It's a tough decision though because it's really hard to make it in baseball. A lot of great players don't make it through the minors. You got to really love the game to potential go through that grind.

Take that money. Give it three or four years if it seems like it's not going to work out for you in baseball, come back play a little fooseball and get an education.

Perry was mentioned by J. Bruce in an article about him (Bruce) on 247. Based on that comment, it sounds like Perry will be starting out at WR.

Among other comments on playing WR, Bruce also said, “Me and (incoming Tennessee commitment) Vincent (Perry), we’re very confident that this could be a good opportunity for us.”

Vincent is 100% and has been up and full gonfor a while now. He's played a gull football season and baseball season. He's currently on campus and working out full go. Yes he will play both but he's not limited by any means. In my honest opinion he could start right now for the UT baseball team. He's been trained by one of the Midstate's best trainers in Michael Coleman a former major leaguer and midsate and hs AA in baseball, football, and track out of Stratford hs. Kid is athletically gifted and can do anythido anything including track. Vol fans just know he'll be a gem.

I agree he's very gifted athletically. Will be hard to catch in open field. Would love to see him back there next to Evan Berry on kickoff returns.

I would like to see that as well. With that said, he would make a fantastic Cornerback i believe.

I'm a huge fan of quick twitch players that dominated on offense turn over to defense.

He's a better athlete than Foreman , and I think he and Osborne would make a fantastic duo in 3 years.
