'15 TN ATH Jaylond Woods (UT Commit 4/20/13)

While I'm sure his behavior has something to do with this happening...I'm not so sure there isn't more behind this decision than that.

All hypothetical of course, as this is just a rumor.

not really looking for gossip, but can you get a little bit more specific. I'm just curious what degree of bad behavior would warrant pulling the scholarship.

Mother of God.. we share the same opinion on something

Hate to hear that if true. Kids have to understand being a UT commitment comes with responsibilities.

Especially, if they're not an elite prospect...they really can't afford to have behavioral problems.

We'll see if the rumors are true though.

With the UT coaches offering/taking his commitment as early as they did, how do you know they did/do not see him as an elite prospect? Just because his * rating is not showing *****, does not mean the staff does not see him as elite.

I'm agreeing with you a lot recently LV. And I've gotta be honest, it feels a little dirty lol :)

It was a general statement, but it seems like the chances of a 5'8" athlete being an elite prospect are slimmer on average.

Rivals shows him as 5'9 and his 1st page of this thread lists him as 5'10. Not that it really matters, but I don't see anywhere listing him at 5'8.

Whats the word on Jalen? Any other offers? What will UT play him at? He is short but plays much bigger, good tackler

There is no way we take less than 23.

I question whether or not Woods will be a Vol and whether or not the LS will really end up on scholarship.

Kind of the same way a lot of fans "questioned" some 2-3* takes last year. In the end, CBJ stuck with his thinking of taking them no matter what the * ranking by their name was. Not sure I see it being different this year.

We will see what happens over the next few months. It's my understanding that he is transferring schools. He has to get some things in order it sounds like.

Hmmm, it is almost like some people don't just make things up. Interesting.

"I heard Jaylond Woods won't be attending LCHS next year because he has failed to many classes and transferring to Austin East. He is failing all 4 classes he is taking right now. I heard this from a source close to the football program. Anybody heard the same thing? I think it's a good thing he is transferring was a lazy and selfish player. Acting like he was hurt every time he makes a bad play, and not lifting with the rest of the team. He also got kicked off the basketball team last year."

If true, I don't blame the coaches. They already pulled Darrel Middleton's offer from 2016 for all his drama.

I heard he is just started school this week at clinton. They threw for over 3,000 yards last year and the qb they have is coming back as only a junior. Also got an oak ridge transfer recently too. Should be fun offensive team to watch if he makes the grades. Kids love those spread offenses.
