I wouldn't say he's a vicious hitter as much as his size and quickness would be the biggest problem for opposing qbs. Think shutdown corner roaming the midfield.

Not really shocking at all. CBJ took him as a QB knowing IF QB did not work out, S at some point was a possibility. Hearing he looks better at QB than TG is also not surprising. CBJ knows what he is doing.
