With Settle's top five, how many of you would take Gibson if it meant we added Settle and Deberry for sure instead of Gentry and a chance at Settle and Deberry.

I want Gentry, more than anything, but would be thrilled to have a lock of Gibson, Settle, and Deberry.

I would take Gentry. We will still land McKenzie and Johnson with a shot at that JuCo guy and whoever pops up between now and fall. Same with LBs.

WOW! I like Gentry I do, but your saying you would rather one 4 star QB over a five star QB, a five star DT, and a five star LB? :unsure:

Low on Gibson. Plus I don't think we get Settle anyway. I don't think they are the package people want to believe them to be.

I would be very bummed about DeBerry though. Kid has been at the top of my want list for nearly a year now.

Same with Deberry, I believe he might be the BEST linebacker in this class when he leaves college.

Ain't it great we're even able to entertain the thought of any of these players becoming vols!

Personally, I prefer Gentry over Gibson for a couple of reasons. First, Gentry is QB all the way where there is some question about Gibson remaining at QB. If Gibson doesn't pan out at QB, how does he handle that? Secondly, I like Gentry as a passer that can also run when needed to extend a play, but not in the same way Gibson will be running the read option. I think the best way I can say this is I like the total pkg Gentry brings compared to the total pkg of Gibson. I'm just not convinced Gibson will be a consistent passer while I do believe Gentry can be effective running.

As far as Settle and DeBerry, I'm fine with McKenzie and Johnson at DT and Kirkland could fill in for DeBerry. Not saying I don't want them, but not sure I don't want Gentry more than them because of these options in their stead.

Gibson will be a great QB in college. Gentry should be the third or maybe even fourth QB on our board IMO behind Waller Gibson and maybe even Nunez. Gentry will be a good QB but the other three would be better in our system IMO

I do like Waller's video and would be excited to get him. If we do land Gibson, that puts more pressure on next year getting someone like Austin Kendall, IMO.

I wouldn't say Gentry is third or fourth on our board. I'd be willing to say that the staff might have their names even on the list, but I don't think they have Gibson ahead of Gentry. I like them both and wish we could land them both.

I hope not. Gentry reminds me of Heath Shuler in that he can run and has great passing skills. You have to hope that Gibson can develop as a passer. Gentry plays his system while it looks like Gibson is playing street ball on the fly. Seem to be some question as to Gibson staying at QB in a top program.

I'm a want a Winston type qb. Great passer great confidence can run buts prefers to be a pro style qb. Gentry over Gibson easy for me.
