'15 NC RB Rocky Reid (Wake Forest commit)

I'm not worried about his large number of carries in high school at all. It's not even close to having a big workload in college. When you're that young you heal very quick and like others have said you don't take anywhere near the beating as you do in college.

I hesitate to even say this bc I don't want anyone to think I'm "that guy" or bragging in any way bc I'm definitely not (I'm usually the one laughing at people who brag about high school sports). But anyway, I started at RB and LB in high school and my senior year I average around 35 carries a game and, for the most part, the next day I usually was barely even sore and the only thing I did was take an ice bath after games. I say this to try to make the point that at that age the # of carries aren't really that big of a deal. You're not taking hits from college level defenders on every play and you heal so quickly that it's not like being the workhorse for your college team. I don't know if anyone will find this helpful/relevant (probably not) or anything but I just wanted to share why I'm not worried about the "mileage" Reid will have coming in to UT.

Sounded good to me. :good!:

Moved up in the rankings per Chad Simmons.

"RB Rocky Reid - No. 54 RB in the country"

You got that right

I'm going to have to watch hudl video all day so I can see 53 better running backs than Rocky. Until then, I call bs! I'm not saying he is the best in the country by any means, but there aren't 53 better than Rocky.

I agree. He is a top 10-20 Rb in the nation. Just another kid that is under the radar that has not been graded very well by scouts IMO. Great pick up for UT! Hes a power back with really good speed. Complete back and really good recruiting on UTs part. If the kid where in Texas or Florida or even Georgia he would be top ten RB.

Let em keep thinking it...someday they can say it while the Non-Italian Stallion is running it down their favorite team's throat :aggressive:

Wasn't Todd Gurley or Keith Marshall out of NC too?

Just watched the Hudl junior highlights. I would like to know what caliber of talent he was up against because his O-line seemed to play good and he had some down field blocking as well?

He is still severely underrated.

Hard for power backs like Reid to make big jumps in rankings because those guys look for flash on film and the 4.3 speed. It would take an all star performance like it took for Gurley when he came out. He was 3 star until the Carolina's All star game.
