'15 NC RB Rocky Reid (Wake Forest commit)

3100 yards and 40 touchdowns??? 6'1 210lbs as a junior.. This guy is about to blow up.

I don't think he'll "blow up," due to the amount of carries he'll get next year. He'll have some wear on those legs.

I also don't care if he does or not, because he's a good RB.

Idk what u mean about the carries, but he's gonna get attention.. U can't have his measurables and a tape like that and not.

I'm saying the guy got 432 carries his junior of high school and will get the same amount next season.

That's more wear and tear on the legs than you want from a high schooler.

Hopefully we are good enough that he can redshirt his freshman season and rest those legs :)

What is funny is this is a mute point about stars because Ryan Bartow on 247 who covers Carolinas has already said he is likely to be a 4 star before NSD. We just have two impatient football forum guys that don't understand recruiting and that a 4 star today could be a 2 star but nSD and vice versa. Malone wasn't a 5 star at this point last year. Gurley wasn't. Chris jones DE beast at MS St was a 3 star unknown at this point that became a 5 star.

*moot

Tugg Speedman: You know, there were times when I was doing Jack that I actually felt retarded, like really retarded.
Kirk Lazarus: Oh, yeah.
Tugg Speedman: I mean, I brushed my teeth retarded, I rode the bus retarded.
Kirk Lazarus: Damn.
Tugg Speedman: In a weird way, I had to sort of just free myself up to believe that it was okay to be stupid or dumb.
Kirk Lazarus: To be a moron.
Tugg Speedman: Yeah.
Kirk Lazarus: To be moronical
Tugg Speedman: Exactly, to be a Tropic Thunder Quotes moron.
Kirk Lazarus: An imbecile.
Tugg Speedman: Yeah.
Kirk Lazarus: Like the dumbest motherf#cker that ever lived.
Tugg Speedman: When I was playing the character.
Kirk Lazarus: When you was the character.
Tugg Speedman: Yeah, yeah I mean as Jack, definitely.
Kirk Lazarus: Jack, stupid ass Jack. Tryin' to come back from that.
Tugg Speedman: In a weird way it was almost like I had to sort of fool my mind into believing that it wasn't retarded, and by the end of the whole thing, I was like, "Wait a minute, you know, I flushed so much out, how am I gonna jump start it up again?" It's just like...
Kirk Lazarus: Yeah.
Tugg Speedman: Right.
Kirk Lazarus: You was farting in bathtubs and laughing your ass off.
Tugg Speedman: Yeah.
Kirk Lazarus: But Simple Jack thought he was smart, or rather, didn't think he was retarded, so you can't afford to play retarded, being a smart actor. Playing a guy who ain't smart but thinks he is, that's tricky.
Tugg Speedman: Mmm...tricky.
Kirk Lazarus: It's like working with mercury. It's high science, man. It's art form.

Kirk Lazarus: Hats off for going there, especially knowing how the Academy is about that sh!t.
[Lazarus starts to walk away]
Tugg Speedman: Wait, about what?
Kirk Lazarus: You're serious? You don't know? Everybody knows you never go full retard.
Tugg Speedman: What do you mean?
Kirk Lazarus: Check it out. Dustin Hoffman, "Rain Man", looked retarded, act retarded, not retarded. Count toothpicks, cheat at cards. Autistic, sure. Not retarded. Then you got Tom Hanks, "Forrest Gump". Slow, yes, retarded, maybe, braces on his legs. But he charmed the pants off Nixon, and he won a Ping-Pong competition. That ain't retarded. Peter Sellers, "Being There", infantile? Yes. Retarded? No. You went full retard, man. Never go full retard. You don't buy that? Ask Sean Penn, 2001, "I Am Sam". Remember? Went full retard? Went home empty-handed.

This scene was funny in the movie but reading it word for word, I was dying

By next February, the same guys who are questioning this based on stars right now are going to be biting their fingernails hoping we hold onto this guy.

Umm have u all even seen his junior highlights? They are ridiculous... I don't think the highschool Gurley comparisons are that far off.. He's a bull, and is still faster than everyone else on the field. Great cuts, and doesn't stop or give up on a play.

I absolutely love this pick up from what I've seen so far.. This guy is an easy 4*.

I totally agree AC. After watching his film I think we just stole this guy. What a bull of a runner.

That's more wear and tear on the legs than you want from a high schooler.

With the backs were accumulating its not like he will be a 25 carry a game for UT anyway. He will be fine.

Just got around to watching his tape. Really impressive. Reid has great vision and I love that he's always looking for the cutback (thats one of Arian Foster's best traits as a RB).... Shows good balance through the hole and has a really solid jump cut for a guy who is 215 lbs or so.

Lol he's a teenager.. I'm not worried about wear and tear on his legs and u shouldn't be either.. Even with all those carries, he's still averaging over 7yds/carry.

That's what happens when u are the superior athlete on your team, u get the ball a lot.. And this guy has it all as a rb.. Gurley is a really good comparison IMO.

His junior highlights are almost 17 mins of phenomenal play.. This guys recognition is coming.

If the kid had elite speed he'd be a #1 prospect kind of player.

He's the fastest player on the field every play in his highlights.. Only way anybody catches him is if he has to juke or gets hit prior.. Look at his junior highlights compared to others.. Looks like the real deal to me.. And at the same height/weight as Gurley.

1st time I watched his tape I was thinking- that's a good run but he's gonna get stopped here, because he's just a 3*.... But he just keeps running..

You aren't understanding the point I'm making here.

You said he'd blow up, I said he would not, because he'll have close to 1,000 carries under his belt before he even steps on campus. That's a lot, whether you're willing to admit it or not.

I never said I didn't like him as a player. I do - quite a bit, actually.

I'm simply saying other schools will shy away.

And disagree with the Gurley comparison. Gurley's the best in college football; a player like TG doesn't come along often.

Not arguing that. I'm simply stating that he lacks elite, homerun speed. That is what keeps him from being a 5 star.

Stupid to me. The way players are rated is extremely stupid. They don't consider mental make up.
