'15 NC RB Rocky Reid (Wake Forest commit)

Reid has rushed for 532 yard and 5 TDs on 79 carries (6.7 ypc) so far this season (3 games).

Reid is what I call a “slasher and dasher’’ runner. He’s a bigger back who turns up field quickly and hits the hole with a burst. Displays great balance and strength, which make it difficult to knock him off his feet. But what catches most defenses by surprise is Reid’s speed. He displays another gear when he gets in the open that gives him the ability to run away from defenders. In another year, when there weren’t so many quality backs in North Carolina, Reid might have been ranked much higher.

It just makes him look better on the recruiting process. It does nothing for his abilities.

I want him to stay a 3*. That way he will stay under the radar.

Well...I'd like to see him bumped up to a 6 or 6.1, obviously not likely, but hey, the more stars the better.

Get that 4th *

I'm sure you will disappear from this thread once I ask this. How exactly do stars make a player better. Please educate us all on the science behind this. Tell us exactly how an analyst who doesn't know half as much as a college coach makes a player better by putting an extra star beside his name. Are the analysts magic? Does a tenth of a second magically get shaved off a player's 40 yard dash after the player gets raised in the rankings? Do they magically gain 20 LBS on their squat max? I'm not trying to come off as a jerk. I would just like to learn how this works. It's so fascinating. All these years, I thought hard work was what made players better. You sir, have blown my mind.

You did not know that Butch Jones and his entire staff base their recruiting evaluations and who they offer off of 247's composite ranking system? Really? I thought everyone knew that. :birgits_giggle:

I love the fact that you've basically become a caricature of one of your earlier posts. I like to think that I'm in on the joke.

I've answered this question thousands of times for people from all over the country. My best advice is to read through my thread "3* millionaire" you will find all your answers and more in that text.

I really want to believe you're a troll and just trying to mess with people, but unfortunately I'm beginning to think you're serious and actually believe the nonsense you post..
