Picked up a CB to UNC.

It is a guy off of Twitter with a John Belushi pic from Animal House (I had that poster btw)....It does not exactly exude credibility. He is a Carolina fan who has seen 9 CB flips from them to us in the last two weeks and wants to make himself feel better tonight since he couldn't get a date and his mom won't spring for pizza.

Now on to Shy, I am like most everyone else on here and feel that Shy is coming to THE HILL. He would be a great addition to the class and to the team. Butch and his staff and our special recruiting department, ie KM, are working all angles on Shy. I can not wait till he makes it official and we can all celebrate.

UNC fans are really butthurt that these allegations are literally costing them in recruits such as this...understandable...but cry us a river. :cray: Rival programs had a field day using it against us!

I doubt Shy Tuttle goes to UNC for a few reasons:

1. UT's future looks brighter due to a much better recruiting class last year than UNC and a better recruiting class this year than UNC.
2. Playing in the SEC, playing in Neyland Stadium, compared to what UNC offers.
3. Playing with K. McKenzie and last years stout d-line class.
4. Lexington, NC (Best BBQ in NC) is nothing like Chapel Hill, NC. It's a small southern town and he'll likely be more at home in Knoxville.
5. We have T. Thigpen on our defensive staff and as our ace recruiter and UNC does not.

In the past, we've seen UT come in relatively late and beat UNC for top North Carolina recruits such as: Montario Hardesty, Marquez North, and many others I can't recall off the top of my head. I like our chances this time as well.

On a side note, the outcome of UNC's academic fraud issues is something nobody knows about, so let's keep this about the two schools recruiting Shy. It may be fun to bash UNC, especially if you dislike them (I'm a Duke fan and hate them), but in reality nobody knows when or if the NCAA will say UNC committed other violations and therefore have additional probation or scholarship limitations.

I agree with a lot of what you said. But why should we leave out UNCs academic fraud? It probably plays a huge role in their recruiting class. You don't think coaches bring this up to recruits who are looking to possibly go to UNC?
