I guess I misinterpreted your post. Is the question:

Where would Tuttle have us in His rankings?
Or
Where would a Tuttle commitment put us in the Team rankings?

Yes, team rankings sorry for confusion.... The guy above got me. I don't like SCar recruiting so well.. There supposed to die off soon so we can go back to pounding them. We will either way j guess.

I got u ha! Yeah I'm not too worried about them, they have several guys from last years class that have not qualified yet.

People seem worried about them this year. The game against Georgia will show that SC isn't that great. I feel like we could beat them again this year. Don't really know their team to well

They have something like a 30 game home winning streak, would be awesome if we are the ones that break it. It will be broken this year regardless I think

Also this from P Fort when asked if we were pursuing Settle:

Yes, they are recruiting him. But, there is no hurry to try and close the deal there because of those grade concerns and the likelihood that the Vols pick up Tuttle later this month.
:salute:

Never did understand this dance. Maybe it's the male version/response to twerking? :) Either way, not a good idea to be sporting gif's of guys hip thrusting it in a young man's recruiting thread. Kind of has that Sandusky vibe to it.

I never thought I'd live to see the day TN would sign two five star DTs in one class (I'm 23)

Same here. It's never happened. I've been following recruiting since the early 90's and they've never signed two 5-star DT's in the same class.

They signed two 5-star DE's once, the year they landed Shaun Ellis and Corey Terry, (was a JUCO though) but never two DT's.

John Henderson and Bernard Jackson were both 5-stars in the same class and eventually both ended up on the Dline, but Jackson was a MLB in High School and recruited by everyone as a LB.

We signed Albert Haynesworth and Terrea Smalls in the same class back in the late 90s. Both were ranked among the top 5 DTs in the nation at the time. Of course Smalls moved to O-line and never had much of an impact.

Haynesworth was a 5* and #1 DT in that class, but Smalls while fairly highly rated, was nowhere near a Top 5 DT nationally. He was only a 4* 5.8 by Rivals/NRA and like the #24 DT in that nation in that class. His stock dropped big-time throughout his senior year of high school. I remember TN was unsure about taking him for a long time but did eventually after missing out on a bunch of other DL.

They return the most % of lettermen of any team in the country. The pieces they lost though were some of their most productive players in history. Shaw, Clowney, Quarles and Ellington.

There strengths this yr will be RB, OL, WR and LB.

Weaknesses will be DL and DB. QB could be a strength or weakness given Thompson has been pretty good in past some games and average others.

I think they are the best team in the East.

I tend to agree. They are my pick to win the East this year as well.

I think Shaw was an outstanding college QB who for some reason was under-appreciated. While Thompson may do very well, SC will have a drop off in QB play. Shaw was simply a winner who at times willed his team to victory with both his arm and feet. Was tough as nails and made very few mistakes. Wish we could find a QB to play at his level.

I agree completely. Shaw was a very accurate passer who made few mistakes throwing the ball and was an excellent runner. There was a reason he started over Thompson. That said, I think Thompson may be the best QB in the SEC East this year. I prefer him to Driskell, Robinnete or Rivers, Worley or Dobbs, Mason, Mauck, etc.

Eh, I don't think we have seen enough to say that... QB play is way down though
