'15 NC DT Shy Tuttle (UT commit 9/26/14)

Pairing Shy with Khalil is an unfair advantage. :)

Oh well. Somebody needs to right all that is wrong in the SEC with the Bammers at the top. Might as well be us.

If he does commit, I would advise all to buy a sub to 247 just to watch the Chernobyl-esque meltdown on UNC's site. Well worth the price of admission.

Does he have a set date?? I don't recall seeing one, I know Richmond is 9/9, and Van is end of this month. Hopefully, he announces for us in the next couple days.

So exciting, had a good feeling about this one, hopefully it's true.

I wasn't feeling like Richmond would end up here, but the rumors today sound promising. And DJ Jones always worried me, hopefully he wants to join and make a sick Fantastic Four.

Holy.......
August 20 something, I believe. Before the season starts.

Has Tuttle given a date for commitment?

Not yet. Tuttle never really has given a specific timeframe for a decision, but some close to his recruitment believe he might be ready to do something by the end of August.

Haha!

It would also be in good fun to say he didn't want to take fAke classes at UNC. He'd rather learn. Or just really poss them off and say we paid him like they all think we did.

So who is going to post what is being said on the UNC247 board?

They are still confident. If its Tom Loy giving the info I'm not worried because he is terrible and thinks everyone is going to UNC, but I'm curious if its actually someone reputable.

North Carolina has been the perceived frontrunner for five-star defensive tackle*Shy Tuttlethroughout the summer. In the last few weeks, the tide has shifted some towards Tennessee. Per two trusted sources that's the word I'm getting now. That the Vols are trending for the Lexington (NC) North Davidson standout. Enough to where I've changed my Crystal Ball from North Carolina to Tennessee for the nation's No. 4 defensive tackle.*

Here's what Tom Loy said Thursday in regards to Tuttle.

Hello, everyone! Hope all is well over here! Miss all of you and hope things with the site are going well!

Just wanted to pass on a short "What I'm Hearing" regarding five-star DT Shy Tuttle and five-star DE Jalen Dalton.

I still feel Tuttle ends up with UNC and from checking in with "sources", so does the staff. That said, Tennessee is making this interesting and are a genuine threat here. N.C. State is in the mix as well and I'm told they "showed him a good time on a recent visit." Take that however you want. That said, the belief is that he and Dalton genuinely do want to play together at the next level and both will likely end up in Chapel Hill. They have a terrific relationship with most of, if not the entire coaching staff at UNC and that will go a long way in both of their respective recruitments.

I'm glad it was Tom Loy. He seriously crystal ball'd everyone to UNC last year including Paulk

Bartow is apparently fairly well respected on 247. If he made his switch based on some sources, I'd have no reason to doubt him. Plus, I think Tuttle to Tennessee became very possible as soon as McCants opened up about his educational experience in Chapel Hill.

Agreed. I also think the McKenzie factor is big time here. All of it seems to fall in place for him being a Vol.

Now, that UNC has lost their elitist "our academics are superior" trump card, I have no idea what Fedora could pitch to recruits in a head to head battle with Tennessee especially for a recruit from the western part of the state.
