This kid's going to be a great leader from the first time he steps on the practice field here. Oh, and he's got a little talent too. I may be more excited about him than any other recruit in 2015 or 2014.

“(Tennessee coach) Butch (Jones) is going to build this program around all the commitments,” Cherry told InsideTennessee. “I know I’m excited along with the fans to see guys like*Jalen Hurd*come in and help get us back to the top. With the coaches bringing in guys that are going to make big plays and fight for the team it won’t take long for the program to get back.”

Was glad to finally get to Knoxville for a game. Loved the atmosphere and the fans. He said being apart of the "Vol family" is something that "runs through his family tree."

On Florida schools recruiting him:

“I’m going to keep it real solid with Tennessee,” he said. “I just love coach Jones and I’m looking forward to my time with him. He just sticks out more than all the other SEC coaches to me when it comes to recruiting. It feels like we’ve known each other for years. I want to play for a team that needs me. Never was I looking to make my decision on a school that is winning.”

Also said he talked to CBJ about playing wildcat. He thinks he will be an EE next year. Says Butch WILL turn this thing around

Can't wait to see this beast on the field!!! Probably my favorite recruit since i started following in 09. Dude is a punisher for sure! My favorite highlight reel out of any recruit ever. Cecil The F'in Diesel....thats my guy!

But it was known that a Texas offer would be a game changer all along. Not comparable situations if you ask me. This kid is ALL VOL so quit with the DS BS. OH, and DS isnt half the LB that Cherry is. Just saying.
