'15 LB FL Cecil Cherry (former Vol commit)

it is something that does seem to be forgotten. for some reason a lot of people think Cherry will decommit and head somewhere else, and we have to remind them that hes a legacy

I don't ever think a player is gonna decommit its Tennessee why not be a part of a legacy.

This is the player I want the most next year! He is st8 ruthless! He gonna hurt some people -- very very bad!!! They will be waving the :mf_surrender::mf_surrender::mf_surrender:

At his game, he is playing against the local private school here in my hometown. Seems very solid running the ball.. Goal Line beast in the near future??

Looks plenty fast enough but I love the discipline. He stays at home, fills his gap and then just destroys the guy with the ball. Hope we hang on to this kid. Potential 5 star before it's all over??

Sorry to hurt your feelings! He won't be here next year! He is a 2015 recruit. He is a JR.

“I liked the fan base, and I loved it[.] I pictured myself playing in there. I’ve never seen a stadium with it being that loud, even though the team was down. I imagined myself and other players that are committed there coming in there and making a change,” Cherry said. “And I saw that Coach Butch really cares about me. Before the game I got to talk to him, and it’s just how all the fan base and everybody knew me when I was going around there. I just need to work on a little more game so I can come in there and do what I have to do.”

“I liked the Vol Walk,” Cherry said. “I got there in enough time to do everything. I talked to Coach Butch before the game. He sat me down in an office, and he told me I made his week when I came or whatever.

“I just liked how Coach Jones, he just seemed hyped, man. He’s a different coach. He met me before the game — me and a running back, D.J. Law, from down here (in Florida) — and he kept it simple. He don’t promise you nothing. He don’t tell you, oh, this and that. He shows you, and it’s the truth, and it’s why we’ve got so many people building up. Everybody wants to compete for a spot. He don’t promise you nothing.

“Coach Butch told me in his office that everybody’s having fun right now, but in two years what’s going to happen? And I said, ‘Coach, they can have fun right now, and they can have fun next year. In two years, we’re going to be number one, on top.’”

“The thing about the future players, we see that they need more depth and more people like Cordarrelle Patterson or (Justin) Hunter was. They wanted the ball, and they owned the field. That’s what you’ve got to have: people that (say), I’ll go out there and I’ll own the field — not with a big head — to go out there and say, ‘I’m ready to play. Anybody you put in front of me, I’m going to knock them over.’

Absolutely love this kids' attitude.

Cecil is a mix of Socrates, Ray Lewis, and Chuck Norris. A lethal combo of philosophical speaking, elite LB skills, and badassness.
