'15 LB FL Cecil Cherry (former Vol commit)

“I know I have my mind made up, but if something were to happen to coach Butch Jones, Miami would be my second (choice),” Cherry said. “I just like how coach Al Golden brings family and football together.”

“I love Tennessee and the city,” Cherry said. “The feeling of playing in front of 100,000 fans. Their new coaches care about their players and academics. Not just the football.”

“I also like Alabama, Georgia, USC and Indiana,” Cherry said. “This spring I want to visit Oregon, LSU, USC, Tennessee and Georgia,” Cherry said.

Recruits get 3 freebies for every game

Thought tickets only free on OV and Cherry is '15? Unless he got them from a "friend"?

Also why is it ok for him to go to the UF/UM game and meltdown when news about Weatherd going to the Bama/AM game?

IMO we should not have taken his commitment until he was ready to shut it down. If the coaches are fine with Cherry taking visits, they should not have been trying to talk Weatherd out of going to a&m.

I feel like it's a little different. One is a junior who if he flips you can find another to take his spot with little to no panic. Weatherd is supposed to be here soon and he is not a junior. And if he flips, good luck finding another LB who could step in right away and play like he could. I think it's different

I agree it is different as there is alot of time before Cherry would be actually headed to UT. That is the reason I would wait to take his commitment IF he wanted to take trips and enjoy the process. Any trips he takes before his SR year are UOV's and would be on his/parents dime.

Have you seen his film? You take his commitment whenever and however he wants to give it. Our top 2015 recruit.

Ron, I'm somewhere with a less than ideal Internet connection(3G). Are they head knockers like last year?

Yeah more of the same, punishing ball carriers. Still can't believe he's not in rivals 250 watch list. The guy is a monster.

Greater than any college junior in this land.

Gonna be interesting to see how the LB position battles turn out next year. Esp if AJ and Maggit return, which seems more and more likely.

Wonder if they would be moved to DE? Maggit most likely and AJ would remain at MLB unless Weatherd takes his place.

Dews, Bryant, Bates, and Mouhon would definitely contribute immediately on ST.

I want him doing a ton of speed and agility work. This kid has great instincts and can hit like nothingg else. Speed and agility will be the key for the next level.

A kid gets 3 tKs to any game on an unofficial visit.

During an OV they get transportation, tKs, meals, entertainment, and lodging for free.

Very different from weatherd. I was upset because the kid said no more visits and then a day later it was reported he changed his mind. My problem was what appeared to be a lapse in truthfulness

Every time I watch his highlights I can't help but laugh at some of his hits. Those poor kids (especially the last clip in his recent highlights) just get obliterated. This guy is a heat seeking missile.
