Don't mean to be argumentative but these kids know that whatever they tweet is there for the world to see. Also, he's not really "moved" on suggest more resentment than anything.

I'm just glad we didn't let Cherry throw us under the bus like Dalton Santos did a few years back. It really shows the prowess of our recruiters that they can roll with decommits like this. Time to check out the Kirkland thread.

That whole "wait out the process" makes me think he doesn't have any sure offers at this point. I'm guessing if any offers have been made, that they are conditional offers. He probably really screwed up.

Could it be as simple as our staff just stopped recruiting him which caused him to take visits?

He committed to michigan. With the decommit and us basically finishing second we were the natural favorite plus he reached out to the staff. I think what happened was they have one mlb spot Kirkland basically silently committed and they used cherry visiting texas as an excuse to let him go.

Pretty much this. I doubt the UT coaching staff has said anything. .. and why would you? Kirkland reopened his recruitment, serious mutual interest is developed again so the coaches make less phone calls. Not NO calls just fewer. Cherry says he's thinking about taking a visit. ..now a couple calls a week has turned into zero. The UT staff would be stupid to comment at all. Why risk burning a bridge and piss off the high school coaches? Say nothing and the guy will hang himself.

I don't think we will ever know for sure, but I really would love to know why Cherry was all VFL then was off just as quick??? I think this kid could be a really good MLB, but seems he may be a head case also!!!

I don't understand this. We don't want our commitments to take visits but want other schools verbal commits to come see us. Sounds a little like hypocracy.

It's not hypocracy. It's well within the other schools right to rescind the kids offer. We only recruited one MLB until Cherry started visiting. If the recruit can open things up, so can the school.
