anyone with any insight have any info as to why the possibility exists for a Vols/CC breakup? is this just a recruit enjoying visits? or has anyone heard anything.

fyi, hard to imagine the pressure on these kids. and some may never get to travel like this again. but if im CC im headed to UCLA/Stanford, Miami, OR, or Az State. strong is a douche iyam.

not to add fuel to the fire but what sticks out to me is vonn bell's comments shortly after committing to OSU. he said something like he wanted to win a championship..... well thats because Urbie told him thats what they'd do and either said TN was too far from a championship or let Vonn draw his own conclusions.

hopefully this won't flip him like Urbie did Vonn but it's a clever way for Strong to get into his head and make him question Coach Jones when he's saying "Cecil come be another brick in the foundation, come be a part of tennessee's rise to the top!" because then all Cherry is thinking is man Strong is right...this guy IS all talk.

It was just an observation that I thought was interesting. I mean I would say Strong didn't get into his head and convince him of that.... but when he says "Coach Strong spoke the truth" right before it I think he probably is at least questioning his commitment to a coach.

BUT maybe you are right and i just see that in those comments because i think Jones is a little on the corny side---not that I don't fully support him.

No offense, but I'm having a hard time buying into that. What exactly do you think CC was referencing when he said Coach Strong "spoke the truth" and "showed him" rather than telling him?

And I would point out that whatever Butch is saying to recruits it landed UT a top 5 recruiting class in '14 and what looks to be a top 5 class in '15. So if Butch is being 'corny', then I would tell Butch he has my blessing to keep being corny.

Not worried at all. Cherry is still an EE, right?

If he were to flip, it still gives us time to fill the space with another great player. I doubt anything comes out of this anyways but those quotes were a little concerning considering how solid Cherry has been in this class.

Hmm...I am wondering if Kirkland called the coaches and told them that he was very interested in being a Vol. Cherry started looking around about the same time that Kirkland decommitted from Michigan.

It seems like we would have recruited Kirkland harder over the summer if we wanted him so bad over Cherry though. Kirkland was extremely interested in us over the summer and I think we kinda slow played him which ultimately led to him committing to Michigan.

Hey, I don't know the first thing about Kirkland, and I've been very excited to have Cherry committed to us, but I wonder if there are eligibility concerns.

I realize that almost all of the kids use slang/broken english on twitter, etc. But Cherry's seems to be to a different level. I'm no trying to say anything, and I hope he sticks and cracks some skulls as a Vol, but I just wonder if that plays into this at all.

Highly doubt it considering he is an ole miss lean. It could be something else like fit in the system, grades, maybe nothing who knows. Just talk but it's annoying that he calls us his dream and now he says TX is.
