'15 LB FL Cecil Cherry (former Vol commit)

@cecil_cherry3: 350 pause press on bench with easy today and won my weightlifting, meet, letsgetit

Cecil's poor use of the English language only makes me fear him more.

Well at least you don't need a decoder ring to figure out what he's saying. Some of these kid's tweets are straight gibberish.

I just had the chance to sit and watch his film.He reminds me a lot of Big Al Wilson but I think Cherry lays a little more wood.

I thought the same thing. However I remember Wilson playing with some serious speed. Not referencing Cherry's 40 time, Wilson was just plain fast iirc.

Al Wilson 1999 NFL combine 6'-1", 239 lbs, 4.5 40 yard dash.

Per Big John Henderson, Al was also the badest / most feared guy on the team. Rumor was Al was a golden glove boxing champ in HS.

He was like a freight train coming downhill all the time. I miss him...:hmm:

The mold may have been broken...no doubt! But everything I have watched and read on Cecil...really has me thinking about 98. He is an absolute animal on the gridiron now! Just wait until he comes in and hits that S&C program. Uh Oh!

He was. I went to North Side, Al went to JCM & dominated us. They had 2 tailbacks that tore teams up, Al Wilson & Wesley Barlow. Barlow had more yards & td's than Wilson but didn't have the grades to make it to a D1 school. The Golden Gloves program in Jackson was pretty strong. Al was a BEAST!!!

Dont get me wrong but the highlights of Cherries film now remind me of AL as a Sophomore.just that run through the block or ball carriers with disregard for himfelf and no care whatsoever for the Offensive player. The Off. player better lay down or act hurt because the pain was coming.THEN YOU HAVNT BEEN KNOCKED TIL YOU BEEN raynoched !!!
