Cecil just has that Al Wilson vibe to him. I said in another post this is my favorite outta the '15 class. I have big hopes for this young man, I have big hopes for UT's defense the next couple of years. This years LB's is sick and next years class is off to a GREAT start! I'm hopin our defensive backfield is full of Cherries, Berries and a DeBerry come 2-3 years from now.

I just watched his 2013 hudl film and I gotta say if anybody hasn't seen it, watch it right now. This guy hits as hard as any LB I have ever seen. He is fast and is an excellent tackler. I see why he is the diesel. Cherry, Bates, Johnson, Mouhon and Berry? Dang.

Here is the thing...Cecil is a good ball player. But he is also a highlight reel...we love the big hits so keep them coming. However, he is a little slow...slower than AJ to be sure. The issue with Cecil is lack of speed, which I am sure will improve, and he really needs to learn proper tackling technique (being serious)...the guy can absolutely bring it but will get called for a ton of leading with helmet calls...once again something coaches will fix.

Hes not gonna get called for that on a RB. Its the same as a RB lowering their head and trucking a guy.

You're going to catch hell for this post, but I agree with you. Reminds me somewhat of Jeff Luc's highlight film.

I think with coaching and technique he will develop nicely in college.

Agreed - 5.1 is not too slow for a recruiting coordinater but is for an SEC LB.

Ha! There ya go. I was only being partly sarcastic. If he's truly recruiting like we think he is, then that's invaluable. He has no restrictions on contact with other recruits... and other recruits like him. So, boom on.
