'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

The jury is still out on Hart, but the entire leadership is at least anti-athletics and at best totally incompetent. They don't have the capacity to understand that revenues that would pour in from a good athletics program would fund so much more than just the French and German Lit studies. They are like the bean counter who slashes the sales and marketing budgets and believes he is saving money.

Actually, I'm a bean counter and that's part of the problem. You have non-bean counters running the show which means they don't have enough sense to recognize where the revenue is generated in their university. Hamilton was a bean counter, but was also a glad handed 'yes' man to whomever was in power. You have people making financial decisions who are liberal arts majors (Susan Martin) and agriculture majors(Cheek).

While having a business degree may not be the only way to run a university, you still need your right hand to have a strong financial background i.e. a CFO type person. And one that puts the president (CEO) in check when they are talking out of their ass. That's why a strong minded no nonsense type person should replace Susan Martin and advise Cheek to stay in his lane while he/she does what he/she is paid to do.

Do you think they have figured out that they were close to killing the golden goose? Academic contributions have been cut back some recently, although I'm not sure there was any choice there. It seems Hart despite his criticisms in other areas is at least righting the ship financially.

Kid hasn't been released and were talking ab him coming to TN. A school he never considered. Guess he's coming with Silverberry.

Hey you'll see buddy. I got a guy on the inside for the NCAA. Kamara, Derrick Green, Silverberry, and Vonn Bell have all applied for a hardship waiver.

All VOLS.

People are actually saying they wouldn't want Kamara here? Good Lord :shakehead:

Yeah some people got their feelings hurt when he didn't pick us out of HS even though we had just hired a new staff who had like what a month (?) to catch up to bama in his recruitment.

C'mon people. Quit going through other people's dumpsters looking for treasure. That last Bama wash out at D-lineman really worked out well didn't he? He was so good I can't even remember his name. Do not need baggage handlers.

Ignorant statement...Kamara was never a fit at Bama. That does not make him trash. Just makes him gullible for going there to start with.

Yeah why would we need a stud RB? I hope this post is sarcasm.

Probably more had to do with Saban keeping him from other schools. Doubt anyone ever thought he would fit in or make the rotation there.

Agreed..Honestly I think he had his mind set on the Bammers no matter what. They had to feed him some BS for him to even think about moving to a slot WR. Would love to hear the truth on what he was really told by Ala. He is a RB that didn't fit their system and they have god knows how many highly ranked RB's including Tenpenny and Henry in the same class as he. No doubt he would have gotten snaps here and at Ga.

Cbssports reporting Kamara suspended for the Sugar Bowl.

Alabama suspends LB Xzavier Dickson for Sugar Bowl - CBSSports.com

Our sites are reporting Kamara will not be back or at least that is what they are speculating based on this fall. He injured his in preseason which limited his opportunity and only played on the scout team after that. He was suspended for behavior issues in November, but the speculation this time is grades. The insiders believe he may not be eligible this spring. They are basing on the fact that there is no comment on why he is suspended from the team and the only time that happens is when it is about academics and the staff or school can not speak on it by law.

He should qualify for a redshirt this year giving him 3 to play after he transfers.

FTR Kamara only played(practiced) at RB for UA. The word was he would not get redshirted and see the field based off camp. Only T Jones was expected to be redshirted. After he injured his knee in fall camp and returned he played mostly on the scout team as the opposing RB the team would face.

Either way reports were very good on him at RB and I am sure wherever he ends up he will be an impact RB for that team.

My inside sources tell me Alvin referred to a young fan as "little man". Saban overheard and was not amused.

Ain't kamara a *****!

Two for one joke special right there.

So he had behavior and grade issues at Bama, but UT should welcome him with open arms? Smh at some of you.

When Bama claims "grade" issues, you know it's a lie. If they actually paid attention to grades, at least half the team would be suspended.

It's crazy how this board seems to be ecstatic at how well we are recruiting elite talent but obsessive about finding kick back failures at other schools.

Damn guys we are kicking ass and taking names in recruiting why on earth do we need every transfer that hits the waiver wire

Not to you TW - but to a few others on here. Thanks for posting.

This is why my previous post was not sarcasm. Spend a few minutes researching the subject before going all google eyed at the next pretty skirt that walks by, folks. You may catch something you really don't want.

Sounds like he needs to go the juco route a yr, get his grades up then go wherever he wants, especially if Saban won't release him to a SEC school. Just not sure what the rules are exactly.

We are on the same page with this one, Bruin.
