Its not baffling at all. 3 NCs in 4 years. That's pretty easy. One RB won the Heisman. One was the 5th overall pick in the draft. One will likely be a top 10-15 pick when he comes out.

I think you misunderstood me. It's baffling that Saban has that attitude toward the game. It's as if he is so good at it it's boring and not a challenge to him. I'm talking about his demeanor.

It's what makes him the very best that's ever coached. Seriously I think he has surpassed Bear because its harder to do what he has done now than in that era.

On whether the door is completely closed to a potential return to the NFL: "I keep saying it but y'all don't believe it, so it doesn't matter if I say it or not. I had a guy at my last press conference ask if the door was closed. How many times do I have to close the door? The damn hinges are worn out."

Maybe if the press stop asking stupid questions he could relax.

On whether he takes time to enjoy the moment: "What I cant figure out about you guys is that we're sitting there (on the Gameday set) after the game and you guys are asking me about what we're going to do against Johnny Football in the second game next season with the schedule up there. Which side of this fence do you guys want me to be on?"

Agree 100% I've made this argument before and people call me an idiot but I stand by it. It kills me that se people are so in awe of the legends that it's almost blasphemy to say that they're second best. Because let's be honest the game is nowhere near as hard as it is now. In bears day you had what? 10 teams that were capable of fielding a mc team now any given year there's double or triple that. The game has evened out so much and for a coach to be as dominant as Saban in this day and age is amazing.

As much as I despise Alabama, Saban and Spurrier are my favorites to deal with the media. Actually telling them how they really think and feel. They speak about real issues in college football. They have obviously have earned the respect on the field to do so.

Is that somewhat like "I will not be going to coach at Alabama"? Perhaps that's why people keep asking the questions.
