'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

I know it's extremely unlikely but I think both Green and Kamara would be great complementary backs. Sort of a thunder and lightning type of combo. I know they both posses power but Green seems to be more of a straight line runner , a one cut runner while Kamara is more shifty.

100% inaccurate take of their running styles. Flip it.

Best RB we're in on period. Would contribute heavily Day 1. Need guys like this to change games.

I've been all over Geen from the jump as my #1 guy. I've always liked AK from his film, but seeing him in the UA game kinda jumped him up a notch in my book. He was a bit bigger than I thought. Kid's quickness is just silly. He or Green would just float my boat.

Ok then, I yield to my big harry friend.

No worries apologies if too blunt. Green is like Bryce
Brown was out of HS has the size but cuts cuts cuts using his speed. He will need a year under Graham to fix that mentality. Kamara runs like he is angry.

I'd love to have Kamara, but you have to laugh at all the "experts" on this board, all of a sudden, projecting Kamara as better than Green, simply because Alvin seems a more likely commit.

That is not my position. Green has NFL pro bowl potential. He just needs coaching like most HS kids.

Green no where near the sledgehammer he was projected to be. Have doubts about him being an impact guy in the SEC. Hopefully he can prove me wrong at UT. :hi:

I hope you are, too! That we get Green and he's an impact player. I like to be wrong like that.

I admit I have seen very little film but that was the impression I came away with.

I notice that alot on here as well. I think when Green said Michigan is #1, alot of our fans all a sudden felt AK was by far the better player. If North says UNC leads, expect to read that "The next WR on the board" was the better option all along.

So you think Kamara is more of a straight line runner and Green is more shifty? Sorry, can't agree. Green is agile to be so big, but not moreso than AK. But I do agree that AK has the ability to run downhill a bit more than some give credit for. I have to agree with InVoluntary on this one.

Nah, people just have their own opinion. Just because its rivals #1 back, doesn't mean everyone has to agree.

Where we stand with each player has nothing to do with how I view them, but I'm sure there are some who go that route. Until yesterday Green was my #1. Not by a landslide, but he was. Kamara really impressed me in the UA game to the point that they are both #1 wants in my eyes. I just want one of them to where orange and it doesn't matter which one, regardless what school leads for who. And I also agree with Breaker...Kamara not being a 5* is a travesty!

Bryce and Green look nothing alike coming out. IMO Bryce was a much better talent. Was talking with someone earlier about how this was a weak year overall for skill offensive players. Green and Henry are both overrated a bit to me. I saw nothing that looked a 5 star impact guy out of either today. Kamara showed he can contribute early. I think most of the 5 star guys should be given to the defensive guys.

I've been saying it since early I his recruitment that the relationship with AK and Jason Croom was gonna be key.

They both have size but choose to use speed. They do not seek contact nor do they run hard most of the time. I have seen Kamara play live and on film. Kid has a serious chip on his shoulder runs hard without fear. I am not saying Bryce and Green are clones.

Since when did we make it into AKs top 2?

Did there, I see what you did. You're arguing because Rivals still has UGA and Bama as his top two options that makes it such. Then again, Rivals had Da'Rick as a "Solid Verbal" to UGA up until 5 days prior to NSD.

Let's not beat around the bush, despite Rivals sluggish updating, Kamara to Tennessee is absolutely a realistic option, probably more so than a kid who's all but engaged to Brady Hoke.

Where did u see that we have a legit chance with him? Just curious bc I missed it.

"Yes, Kamara is saying he will visit Tennessee and he is talking to the coaches. Again, I think Tennessee has ground to make up as I think they are currently third behind Alabama and Georgia.

He says he doesn't have a date set for a visit unless they set it up last night.

I think he is a good fit for this offense. I think Alabama is selling him on playing some running back and receiver (now the tide might not have room for him). Remember his girlfriend goes to Alabama. And he has liked Georgia for a while.

They would love to have Kamara right now."

AK's frame also looked like he could carry a little more weight without any problem at the next level, allowing his game to soar to another level. Not that he's small, just a lean build, I mean that in a good way. I'm not as down on Green as you, but I do view AK as you do. Dude is graceful, a pleasure to watch.

It's an unwritten rule on VN. We are ALWAYS in it with EVERY recruit until the pick another school. The recruit themselves can list his top 8 and if UT is not in it, "So your saying there is a chance"! It plays out every day on here. You just have to learn to read the articles yourself and come to your own conclusions.

:hi:

I feel Green's potential is a bit limited too. Don't know really what he can do better besides being assertive. I don't think his vision is the best and for a big back he's as you stated not a very physical runner. You can't just make a kid love contact. Runners his size should seek contact or shed tackles better. In the SEC a kid like Kamara would thrive because the creases aren't big against good defenses.
