Plenty of schools produce first rounders out of 3 star guys on a yearly basis.
I can also name you a ton of guys that were 4 star guys and a few five star guys that were busts. And some of them played under Saban.
You actually help my arguement. Poster stated that Saban only wins because of the top talent he recruits. That is based off of stars and rankings from sites. My point is recruiting only has so much to do with it.
C Warmack 1st rd projected 20th best OG in his class
M Ingram 1 rd pick, Heisman winner, 58th best RB in his class.
BJ Scott 5 star top ath in his class bust
I do not care how highly rated a class is coming in. If the staff can not maintain disclipline, develop to the expectations, and manage the egos it has no value at the end of the day or season. And I can name a few schools especially in the SEC that continues to recruit top talent but has yet to produce when it counts.
