'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

Well, maybe MzT will pop in here and briefly confirm or deny why he is taking these last visits. Like I said, I am pretty sure that she said recently the exact reason...if so, then I am not speculating. I consider her our insider when it comes to AK's recruitment, and she is MUCH MORE of an insider on AK than ANY of your guys. That's just straight-up fact...you can deny it all you want.

Why do you doubt that UT lands both? Is the great Alabama the only school that can pull 2 elite RBs, or possibly even 3??!! Come on, man!! Give me a break! I may wear my orange-tinted shades ALL THE TIME, but anyone can see that we are in the mix deeply for both of them. Maybe I am completely wrong...who knows? For all I know, maybe we are only taking 1 RB this cycle...if so, then you are correct in your thought process. This will all shake out very soon.

MZTerry has also said AK will do what is best for him and she seems to be pretty adameet that she will not push him anywhere and will only help him in the process to make sure he is clear in how it goes and makes a solid decision no matter where he picks. Some seem to think she is pushing him to UT but I have not read that in her comments and I could be wrong. What inside info has she giving you that says Kamara is leaning towards UT or will end up there.

And I never said UT did not have a shot just they would not get both. Also Henry has stated UT is 2nd but where has Kamara stated UT was on top. Please provide a link for that. Alot of assumptions are being made that UT is but I have not seen it from anywhere or anyone.

If Kamara picked UA(which I do not think) Henry will end up at UT. If Henry picks UA I still think Kamara ends up at UGA. That is my opinion and no inside info there.

But again show me where MzTerry has said UT is where he is leaning. She may be an insider because she is close to the situation but she has never hinted Kamara was coming to Knoxville and has stated she is not pushing him one way or another. And it has nothing to do with being a homer or not. Again I have not seen any quotes from him or articles stating Kamara to UT or leaning that way.

Again my opinion nothing more.:hi:

TW, where in any of my posts did I say that Kamara was a UT lean? Where did I say that MzT was pushing him to UT? NOWHERE!! All I said was that MzT stated in this thread (I believe...and I don't have time to go find it) that she gave AK a task of one or a few questions to ask of each school/coaching staff that he is considering...I believe MzT's words were "once that task is complete, AK will be cleared to make his announcement." Something along that line. I said that this is why he is making one last visit to UA and UGA, because although UA seems to be on the outside, he is STILL considering them as his destination and wants to do this task he was given with that school/staff as well.

I don't have to defend MzT, as I am sure that she will get on here and defend herself. I know that she IS NOT pushing AK anywhere...just as her son did, he will make his OWN decision, wherever that may be. Fortunately, for MzT her son chose the school that she is in love with...may not be the same thing that happens for AK, her "other" son. She has explicitly stated that she lets the kid that make the decision, not her. I have no idea where you are drawing these speculations from that I have said anything otherwise.

Once again, why do you think that the only school that can pull 2 elite RBs is Bama? You make it sound like we have NO chance to pull 2. We do have a chance, but we may not even be looking to sign 2 backs this class...I have no clue on that one!

Have you ever known someone who argues just 'cause they like arguing? Like when they make the same point twice in the same post, but phrase it differently?

Let us start back winning and watch what type of cars our guys ride around in. It happens everywhere. Even though the Bama boys are getting outta hand. Lol Marquis Maze had a nice Crimson Tahoe.

of course bama will get singled out because they are at the top right now but its just as bad at some of the other schools in the SEC (LSU, AU, etc). Tenn had their days especially with Fulmer. Dooley doesnt seem to be as bad at the moment but with all this pressure on him, I could see him taking extreme measures like Clemson.

when u have FCS schools that pay players, its hard to think there is many FBS schools that dont. I would guess that every SEC school does except maybe Vandy and Kentucky. if those 2 schools are, they arent putting enough money in the briefcases. Kentucky spends alot of there money on the basketball players, so at least they have some sort of excuse, lol.

thunderdome of verbosity!

I believe every school does it but they seem to keep on the down low. How Clemson doesn't get popped by the NCAA with the players that have been caught sporting big stacks of cash on the FB or other social media is beyond me.

It makes for longer posts. Once again, the posts become longer in length but not in substance.

I'm not saying that he's as good as Cadillac but his style of running is similar. And I went and watched a good part of one of Norcross's (sp?) games online to see something other than his highlights (and watch croom) and he ran more physically than I was expecting compared to what I had see on his highlights.

Who's better isn't what I'm talking about. I like Kamara's overall game more. But Cadillac was a brutal runner for his size. Why do you think his NFL career was so short? His knees have a lot of wear and tear from this style of running.

Pictures, Link, or it never happened....

I think PERHAPS Bama is singled out because they keep getting caught and not punished.

when has Saban gotten caught cheating since he has been at Bama? Bama did get punished for cheating a while back so what are you talking about. AU is the only program in the SEC the last few years that had a situation go public and nothing came out of it.

when I say singled out, im talking about certain fanbases. jealousy and hate sets in sometimes and some fanbases dont have anything to do but come up with stuff. I guess to make themselves feel better. Hopefully reality sets in and they realize their own program does dirt as well. the chances of getting caught are alot less than not. so these programs are going to take risk. eventhough its a sad situation, there is too much money involved not too.

Spoken like a true crimson blooded bammer. It's ok to cheat, pay players, ect...cause everybody does.

agreed, we all see it but nothing is happening. NCAA could be watching it but just not letting things be known publicly. they were a complete fail in the Newton investigation so they could be handling his situation differently.

I didnt say it was ok to do it. im just saying lets not pretend like only a few schools are doing it because thats far from the truth. whoever thinks otherwise is just naive.

I think A.J. Turman is similar to R.Neal same build and running style

agreed, both run with power between the tackles, neither has that breakaway speed. Kamara is smaller and is more elusive in the open field but he does having surprising power to run inside.

What??? Neal is fast and has real speed(check out the deep ball he caught in the Kentucky game). He's been told to run with more power and toughness. He and Turman aren't similar at all. Turman is a very strong runner. Kamara isn't too small already weighing around 200lbs. That's why I put him as a 1a on my RB board. His speed with around 10 more pounds will be fun to watch.

Don't get the Neal comparison myself but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Does your friend follow recruiting because Kamara just said he will push his announcement back and wants to take one more visit to UA and UGA. The reason I ask is all of our sites still show UA in it.

Anyhow I have said he will end up at UGA and stick with it.

He follows recruiting VERY closely. More so than I do, and I devote at least half an hour to an hour to recruiting most every day.

He has never given me info that was wrong. He is a lurker of 247, but he has friends in the know.

Note: I am not claiming I am in the know. I don't know anyone in the UT AD.
