MzTerry...I have been wondering, with all that talent Norcross has had/does have, how deep in the Georgia playoffs have they been making it. Also what classification are they in and how many classes does Georgia have? TIA.

I have some old connections to Norcross. Norcross is now 6A, which is the highest classification in Georgia. They've had some really good football teams over the years, though in Atlanta they may be better known for basketball. They've won a handful of state championships in basketball in recent years and have been nationally ranked on a number of occasions. They've produced some great players (you may remember Jodie Meeks from Kentucky).

But back to football, there is definitely lots of talent there and they have a well respected coach (Maloof). The school has really nice facilities and is located right on the outskirts of Atlanta, so it draws from a pretty good-sized population.

MZTerry knows much more than I in terms of how they've played in recent years. I was connected with the school back in 2005-2007 and they had an undefeated football season one of those years (though they were upset in the playoffs).

Anyway - I like the school and am glad to hear UT is picking up some great players from down there.

So is this guy our most likely big time runningback commit?
I still think all the Elite RB's are taking a "wait and see" approach with us. If the product on the field even remotely matches our expectations this year, then there will be at least one or two BIG fish that will jump in the boat all by themselves. Winning has a way of making believers out of folks.

Some of them are also likely waiting to see if the offense is balanced enough to offer them the amount of playing time they are looking for.

I agree... very few highly touted recruits with options such Bama, Barn, UGA, UF, etc. are going to chose UT right now with the perception around the south that if Dooley doesn't win than he is gone...

This... all the recruiting will take off talk is a bit out there too. If we win big recruiting will take off in the 2014 class not this one. This class will be solid with a few stars.

I think we'll have a handful of BIG FISHES before all is said and done, and that this class will still be in the Top 10-15. Remember, most of the Elite players (apart from QB's) tend to wait on their decisions until close to NSD. Even when we had Top 5 classes under Fulmer, it was always a matter of closing the sale very late, on much of the class.

This was the case with many of our key players today. Justin Hunter, D. Rodgers, Lane, Tiny, Marcus Jackson, McCullers, Maggitt, AJ Johnson, etc.

I expect recruiting will get a big shot in the arm if we get past the UF game undefeated.
