'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

This was from Sunday there is also a longer interview out there about his visits and commiting soon.

Top 100 RB Alvin Kamara let me know he has arrived at Alabama. Will visit Clemson Thursday. Could decide soon.

Again could be a chance for UT to sneak in here. I do think for UT right now they have to give him enough to think about so he postpones any decision. I think if he were to commit sooner than later it will be UGA, but if his trip to UT is good he could wait.

Yea bc he has never said anything like that in the other threads b4..it's a little weird IMO. No offense to baby avi

It's weird because I am giving an opinion on my gut feeling with Kamara? Isn't that what happens here on this message board? I am by no means an insider, but AK has been to Bama numerous times and hasn't pulled the trigger...and their spots are filling up fast. He's been to UGA numerous times, including Dawg night, and didn't pull the trigger. During all this w/o any apparent visits to UT, we still make the cut on his lists of schools. Now, he's taking a supposed unexpected, unplanned visit to UT (although how do we know this wasn't planned all along??...just because it wasn't reported to the media?). Honestly, I have no idea if we get AK or not...just trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together on his recruitment.

What about Oregon? Are they no longer in it?

I don't think they are, but I may be wrong. I think he wants to play in the best conference in the country, and not go that far away. Again just my opinion.

That sounds good to me plus Oregon already seems to have 2 great backs committed. Not to mention they may be in NCAA hot water also.

Just watched one of his full videos. He is much more physical than I expected, he trucks some people.

Sorry, weird wasn't the right word choice, maybe overly optomistic would have been better. It just seems like you often feel much better about where we currently sit with some recruits that most. And I thought I remembered you posting something similar about hoping another recruit was going to pull the trigger on his visit that we also didn't lead for. But I may be miss-remembering about that.

But I actually hadn't thought about it like that until now and hopefully you are right. I don't know why he would say it was an unplanned visit if it wasn't though. And all of the info that has been posted on here about Karmara hasn't really even mentioned Tennessee to this point. I just don't think we are in a good position for him right now. That could change when we start winning some games this year, but I feel like negative recruiting and the supposed uncertainty of the coaching staff is hurting us with many recruits this year (including Karmara). But like you this is just my opinion.

Good logic and I agree. Little inconsistencies like the above sometimes say a lot about whats going on behind the scenes. Of course he may have just promised the coaches one visit before he commits and it's nothing more than courtesy, but I doubt it at this point. I think we have a chance.

Would be a really nice combo. True thunder and lightning attack. But not likely to happen as sweet as it would be.

I respect so much How Mz. Terry is supporting Alvin. It's not just a Jason Croom thing for her. That being said......I see Alvin in ALL ORANGE!
