Bama buddy told me that Andrew Bone is saying that Kamara is close to committing to bama. Said he was planning on committing at A Day but that UGA begged him to go to their game.

Don't know if true. But sad if we can't pull him with what we have in our favor. Especially the 100000000000000x better looking depth chart

If it wasnt from Bone then may be nothing. But that makes me nervous. He's supposedly pretty solid as TW could probably tell us.

But things change and change fast in recruiting.

Told my friend I would try to fish on our boards and see if I could find anything out.

Also, just to throw it out there, not necessarily about AK, but I just don't see the appeal right now for a high quality back to go to Bama and be lost in a huge depth chart right now...

We just need to get our running game back to form and we'll be fine. GBO!

But he looked good in the Allstar game. And in bama's spring game. And recruiting services agreed that he has ability.

But yes at this point it would just be considered potential I suppose.

But still my point remains - our depth chart looks tons better than bamas or ugas

I may have a brighter shade of orange glasses than most at times. But I ain't blind enough to say our stable of backs are even close to the level of the tide or dawgs. Sadly

I for one am not going crazy. I just have gotten a little annoyed that everyone thinks he is a lock due to who his friends are. Let's let our coaches do their jobs and not put all our stock on recruits' buddies.

and Im off the soapbox.

Right now it doesnt matter what our or anyone elses depth chart looks like. ATP it doesn't matter who he commits to either.

All that matters is that the coaching staff stays on him, the Crooms stay on him, and more importantly....we have a solid season. We win and they will come my friends so no need to fret until the fall. Unless it comes out cdd slapped his mama or something but that'll be a different worry all together :p

So u have a problem getting 1st hand info from someone who is DIRECTLY connected to him? She is more of an insider with AK than Andrew Bone, Brent Hubbs, or whoever's name you want to use to fill in the blank. Get over it...if you don't want to read things, then don't open this thread.

I don't find it odd...I find it informative, when she offers any info. Usually she stays pretty quiet with any real info, and let's AK have his time with the process. However, she has squashed a rumor or 2 in the past as soon as it came out, because it was a rumor, and she doesn't play those games. I find that informative. I never said AK is a lock because of the Croom family, but my gut feeling tells me that is very important to AK, and that he ends up a Vol on NSD.

It just makes me squirm when you ask her to recruit for UT. Maybe it shouldn't but it does. Ive been on the board for years and I know she bleeds orange but it just feels weird to me. Mark it up to a personal thing and leave it at that.
