'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

Croom > Wiggins.

There's a reason for everything. I think its entirely too early for any 2013 to commit. You'll have so many flip flops; just not worth it.. IMO

Jason is cool with Shaq, but he's not like Alvin is to us.

Alvin is taking this process in stride and will enjoy the ride. By committing this early you could lose possible offers... Gotta keep the doors open until "YOU" want to close them, then keep it closed.

Agreed?

I think that is smart. A kid who commits this early, could be cut loose with a month or 2 before NSD and then is stuck trying to find a new home last minute. Our coaches showed this year they will drop a kid no matter how long he has been a commit if it is in UTs best interest. Think about a kid like Henderson in this last class. If he had not been a Vol for so long, he may have got other offers. At least by playing the game, these kids have time to allow other teams to show interest and have more options if they need them later in the process.

Agree completely! It's a once in a lifetime thing; enjoy it.

Let these kids have their fun while the can and enjoy the process of recruiting.

exaclty. I'd even recommend just holding out and not telling anyone, but me.. of course. :loco:

It was hectic for Jason from the MSU fans after he didn't choose them, and it had too many months to fester. I'd do the same thing CP did in hindsite. don't let on give a hint to NOBODY! Let them recruit him until the end; not releasing more than the top 5

I have no problem with recruits waiting till close to NSD to commit where they plan to go. The only problem with that is if they are not a top 5-10 type of player at that position, most teams will not be holding a spot for them. If you can only take 1-2 RBs in a class, waiting could always cost a kid a spot. CP could drag it out till NSD as he was a take no matter what we had numbers wise.

That is not a good idea with this new 25 schollie rule. Coaches are going to be a lot more picky with spots. Also could you imagine holding 4-5 spots on a wish and a prayer till NSD and get Otha'ed on all of them? That would suck. Unless you are a 5* future NFL hall of famer it won't be a good idea to do this to SEC staffs.:unsure:Why would you want to do this to a coach you like anyway? I mean to put that kind of pressure on them.

MSU fans just suck. Don't worry about that. Kamara commits to us before his senior year or after the season that would be good to know and might would help create some momentum depending on what's going on at the time. It was good knowing JCroom and McNeil were in the fold all year long.

"Alvin is really an electric player at the running back position," said Rivals.com Southeast Analyst Keith Niebuhr. "He has pretty good size, excellent vision, strong one-cut ability and is just plain fast. He also seems to have that extra gear once he gets into the open field, which helps make him a true homerun threat."

UGA sites are predicting a big commitment tommorow. Some specualtion that it may be Alvin. I know he is also friends with Shaq Wiggins.

It might be Keyante Green. He tweeted that he is committing tomorrow.

I don't know if he's a take for them at this point, though.
