'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

Not a big fan of Jake but in his defense, the east/west offense will look better when you've got a line that gives the play time to develop and you've got elite speedsters on the outside that can break a tackle and turn a 5 yard gain into a 25 yard gain.

Not to be that guy, but every offense would look good with this lol

Would be awesome if he had a breakout game against UGA this year. Goes for 150 rushing and 40 or so receiving plus a couple TDs. Would be a nice performance for this young man. Hope he does it and go vols.

Will wear #6 for UT. I bet that will be a popular number for jersey sales in the next couple years

If that is the most popular jersey next year then he might only be here for one year. He will be eligible for the draft in 2016.

running backs coach robert gillespie on four-star running back alvin kamara:"alvin is anextremely competitive kid. He has an explosive element to his game that will allow him to help us immediately. I'm excited to coach him this spring and believe that his addition will create a healthy competition in the running backs room."

So how many years do we have Kamara? Did he redshirt his Freshman year at Bama? Does he have 3 left after 1 year in juco?

Everyone remembers that Jamal Lewis and Arian Foster played here... Me and Jalen are going to be those kind of players.

...I hope this doesn't mean we should expect one of them to fumble frequently in the red zone

Kamara doesn't remind me of Jamal, or Arian.

Reminds me more of Charlie Garner.

Actually a good comparison I think. Seems like Charlie had a better pro career though, or I was too young to remember his college years. Was he amazing in college?

He came out of JUCO and had 2 really good years in Knoxville. Started ahead of James "Little Man" Stewart, Aaron Hayden, and Jay Graham.

'92: 154 rushes--928 yards--2 TD and 5 catches--25 yards.
'93: 159 rushes--1161 yards--8 TD and 12 catches--81 yards.

I do like the comparison though. Garner was a little smaller and a little faster...5'9" around 180 at UT. I remember he ran like a 4.33 40 after being drafted by the Eagles.

Kamara reminds me of Keith Marshall as well.
