If he takes four, then I would think Mostella is odd man out. He might have great potential but he can't dribble and we have a lot of wings as is . Unless someone is coming in who can back up Armani, then you need Reese as insurance there. None of our bigs can play the four.

We have 4 spots available . Phillips and Schofield took 2 . So we could take Trent and Jackson without it affecting Mostella

I want it to click here for Stella but, forgrtting about production, the way his time diminished to end the yr I'm afraid he's already somewhere else. I know he "had" an injury recently but just from watching body language I'm not sure he's all in. Jmo and I hope I'm wrong.

If we do take 3 more , I think he's the one that moves on JMO

Yeah he'd be the most likely. IMO too

His game, and hype to an extent, remind me of Josh Selby. Both had a ton of offensive hype but like Selby's first yr neither translated.

Never have players improved upon a skill they aren't good at. Unheard of right?

By pulling a seniors scholly?? Great way to build goodwill with recruits...honestly do you people not realize players are human too

Exactly. Maybe you have an upgrade at one spot for a year, but you are damaging the integrity of your program for the longer term.

I like this kid. He's listed as a 3*, but JUCO kids are always underrated. He can score and he has shown the ability to play the point. Kid reminds me a lot of Trae Golden and I know he was a frustrating player, but if he's a Trae Golden type player I'd take that production in a heartbeat!

And he reminds me of Trae Golden because they are similar builds, and they both can score the ball. I definitely think he won't be a facilitating PG Lol.

We would of all killed to have a Golden on our team this season. I want Trent, but I really, really want his teammate Jackson.

As does a lot of first year players. It's nothing uncommon, and no reason to quit on him just yet. Everyone can clearly see the talent is there, especially on the offensive side. We just need CDT to put it all together for him and bring it all out of him.

I'm not giving up on him but considering his talent and the lack of depth here, I was disappointed and I don't think that's unfair.

No, theres nothing wrong with being disappointed. You probably just had your expectations too high. Hadn't he been out of ball for at least one year with all his NCAA troubles. We should of all knew he'd be rusty.

No, he played prep last year I believe.

And I don't think expect 15 mpg, 33% from 3, and a couple games where he gets double digits was asking too much.

I've always thought most JUCO's are overrated , including football. Not all the time, but more times than not.

Well from looking at b-ball recruiting a lot I have found out that most juco recruits are heavily underrated. Alex Hicks at Walter state won frosh of the year and I think sites that even have info on him list him as a 2*. Then Rob Gray and malique Trent both averaged around 18ppg and 3-4 APG and one of those guys is unranked and the other is just a 3*. Gray also shot 37% from 3 which is a pretty decent percent.

In football however that's where you see most of the overrated recruits. One example is a left tackle on our team you might know Lol.

Well Donnie did say at the start of the year that he was a million miles away from being an effective SEC player...
This. He's shown flashes of his ability to get to the lane (and actually effectively) but Mostella's problem is that his frame is too small and he can't finish thrrough contact. Also his dribbling is bad. Remember the VCU game where he had 19 points? Did Mostella's confindence go down? Because as the season went on, Mostella stopped being aggressive and settled for contested 3s.

WOW I do not see Trae at all. Trae is stocky and slow. Trae was not a good defender and not a good leaper. This guy is quick and can jump out of the GYM! I think Trent has more ability than golden based on the videos I have seen anyway.

IMO if someone leaves it will be Mostella . His mins fell as the season progressed and he still looks lost on defense . He and CDT may have already decided UT isn't the right fit for him . I don't understand why everyone assumes it would be Reese .He isn't perfect but he's a major contributor
