one of my friends who is good friends with Darrin, they've been classmates for a while. He told me we're high on his list, but we(Volnation) already knew that. I think we'll get him by signing day.

Butch Jones and Tommy Thigpen will be in the middle of the country in Indianapolis, Ind., having an in-home visit with Darrin Kirkland Jr.. We continued to hear the Vols have positive momentum with the four-star linebacker that is set to announce at the Army All-American Game and while he won't publicly declare a leader it's hard not to feel it's trending Tennessee's way. Now, he will likely take a Texas visit this weekend but we continue to believe the possible USC visit won't take place next weekend.

Love to get a Naptown LB. Like this kids game a lot. We need him with Cherry going elsewhere. Have to think CBJ feels good about DK Jr to stop recruiting Cherry because we need some depth besides playmakers at LB. Smith is a great prospect but we are converting every other prospect we like for LB from another position.

Rumor on TOS is he has already started the UT enrollment process and he will be an early enrollee.

Awesome! I cannot wait to see him pick up that beautiful orange hat with a white power T at the All-American game. Great publicity for the program.

Pretty much what I figured would happen. I didn't believe the kid would leave Knoxville without being a silent. He was sold on the program and coaches before and we just finished second to Michigan, the visit was all about making sure.
